IOS26 fail

This app connects to the GPS with IOS 26 but will not find a position or see any satellites.

Yet another company resting on its laurels.

Yet another company resting on its laurels.
I have an XGPS160 and app is garbage, device shows promise but they don’t update firmware and even with massive changes going on in the world of GPS over the last few years they don’t even have updated hardware to the XGPS160 to take advantage of it. So, save your money. The GPS in your phone is way better and this is another manufacturer not keeping up with the times.

Update March, 2026:
No new product releases from this zombie company, this POS still uses a USB mini connector in 2026 and app looks like it was written in 2005 by a high school student.

Xgps150 not compatible

I had a old 150 and not able to get satellite reception on io 17

iOS26 update

After updating iPad software to iOS26, installed apps requiring gps information, ie. Jepp FD Pro, WSI, SkyPath, etc. stopped giving location while in offline mode with XGPS160 receiving excellent signal. Worked well with iOS18.

It worked fine now it doesn’t

I updated the sky pro GPS status tool app and now it is not working with my Dual GPS receiver. It connects with the Dual GPS receiver and it shows battery and connection, but no satellites and no coordinates.

Do not buy it

I have been trying to Connect my Iphone and was Imposible

Works, but it could use an update

I’m impressed with the hardware side of the Dual SkyPro. For the software, there are still a few issues. From an iPhone, one *CAN* change the recording interval. On an iPad, it crashes if you try to change it. (Minor for me, but annoying). There’s not really a switch to toggle data logging on or off. Instead, one uses a switch called “Always record position when turned on” YES/NO. So it’s not just setting the default, it is, in effect, a toggle. It’s a little confusing. (Minor issue). GPS lock seems good even when flying at Mach .85 across the ocean and as well as from inside my own home. So no issues with basic positioning, which tells me that it’s a pretty decent receiver. Nice feature is that it can broadcast Bluetooth GPS to multiple people (pilots on same crew for example) so that all iPads will have a good position. Other than these minor issues, the XGPS160 is just fine!

Very good app and devices

I’ve been using the xp150 since it was launched, years back and I still have it and use, rock solid and never let me down. Can work with pc and Apple and fast connect with iPad mini 6. Good work.

Elementary functions

Unable to deselect Glonass or GPS receving functions (in case of spoofing/malfunction).
No more app updating?

Apple Maps Compatible?

Was wondering does it work on apple and google maps or the device is able to just connect to those apple and android products?

Glitch with mode switch, FIXED

I bought the XGPS150 to link with my iPad Pro 10.5.
It worked great for a few years, then would not link to its own APP.
IN FRUSTRATION, I downloaded the Owner’s Manual. While reading I came across the Mode Switch part, about choosing between Android and iOS. Looking at mine, the switch was set for iOS. But, I moved it to Android position and back to iOS position. EUREKA! It connects to the APP again. Okay, I love it again.

Dreadful

The app barely functions. Expect to go up to 1/2 hour to pair with the receiver. B/T looks forever and most of the time never finds the unit.

Does not work

Upgraded the firmware to 4.2.4 and nothing works anymore.
Piece of garbage.

Перестало обновлять прошивку

XGPS160 не обновляет прошивки. Качал на разные устройства. Не работает. Странный производитель и разработчик этой программы👎🏼

Disappointing

Works with my iPad pro but not iPhone 12.

Waiting for update

It crashes after updated my iPad Pro. And not able to connect the JEPPESEN PRO. Request update

Works great

I am recommending the Dual Electronics 150 or 160 to a friend since I have both.
Purchased the 150 probably 7 years ago and it works great with the app for off-roading. Decided to get the 160 model 2 years ago so I could connect to both my iPad and iPhone via Bluetooth at the same time.
I use this strictly with off-roading apps like Gaia here in the southwest and have been very happy with it.
