Not dual parent friendly.

Honestly, I only use this app to get notifications but never to log in, because that would cause a log off from my partners phone. So it would be a game of log in and log off all the time for both of us.

Keeps logging out

Not one app needs that much attention . It's like feeding a Tamagochi. Deleting . Won't deal with this garbage .

Great App!

Super easy and convenient to use!

No function to mark attendance

I don't have the option to mark attendance, and I can't add this feature myself. I can't get in touch with support.

Doesn’t work

Horrible!!!

I can’t log in on the web version and the school has sent me 2 password reset attempts. I constantly get Failed Login. I tried the App and I get Something Went Wrong.
The school had reset my info on their end and nothing works.

UI needs a lot of improvement

Sadly, it appears this app was designed by people who have never made an iPhone app before. The navigation is unintuitive: buttons are not in typical locations and they behave in ways that aren’t typical. I suggest redesigning this app, and the interface is sluggish as if it were made with a cross platform framework instead of native UIKit or SwiftUI.

Oddly though, it’s better than the old School Messenger app, so it gets a star for that.

Update makes setting time out way more complicated!

The recent update makes choosing the start and end time for an absence far more complicated and time-consuming. Users need to click on a round “clock”, try to click on the hour nearest to the time, then edit the minutes. Please go back to the old, easier way of simply selecting the hour and minutes from a drop down menu.

Okay app

Informative app if you just want to review info sent by schools. Bad if you need to interact with it such as reporting an absence - limited category of absent reasons and time logic designed flaw where absent time can not be earlier than 9:25am. (Most schools starts well before 9 in our district)

Nothing loads

It’s an awful app. The app loads but the messages nor the inbox load.

Two issues without diving in very far. First is I have a new phone number, I have yet to figure out how I can delete my old number and add in my new one. Second, we’re in the year 2025 and this app doesn't have dark mode. Please give us a dark mode.

Hello there! Thanks for taking the time to leave us this feedback. With regards to your issue with the phone number; all data comes from the school directly. Please reach out to the school and ask them to update your contact information. The next time they sync their data with us (usually nightly) it should be updated in the app. Regarding the dark mode request; we have captured this and added it to our consideration list.

Very wonky app

I’ve suddenly stopped being able to see or read the messages. I get the notification that there’s a message but that’s it. The app opens and just continues loading without ever actually appearing. I have to just wait for the email version from the school.

Never sends confirmation email

It’s a shame that the Ed Tech bar is so low that companies like this can survive. In multiple tries to register my account connected to my kids’ school, I never receive the confirmation email, and the app won’t let you in at all until you complete the confirmation loop. Password reset also doesn’t deliver anything. Obviously some people are able to “use” this thing, but I have checked every folder and spam and everywhere else — they’re just broken.

Hello there. It sounds like your email address is on the unsubscribed list. You will need to contact the school and ask them to check their blocked list so they can remove you. It might also be that the school is not sending your email address to our system so we are unable to send a verification as we don't have an email address to send it to. Sorry for the inconvenience.

UI is very poor

When viewing emails, over 2/3 of the screen is taken up with the header, subject, to line and other non-essential stuff before you reach the message, necessitating constant scrolling.
How do you enable notifications? I have 140 emails but not a single notification for them. Yes, notifications are enabled on my iPhone.

Doesn’t work properly

I am able to open a message but the mobile app doesn’t let me scroll down to click open any attachment. Feedback was sent about this but got no advice.

The app is supported fully for iOS 16 and above so I would suggest deleting the app and reinstalling it. Wrong name??

Somehow my name defaulted to my father’s name…he hasn’t had a child in YEARS. I signed up with my email address so I don’t even know how they got his name. There’s no way to change it, no way to contact anyone. The “help center” is no help.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review and apologies for the frustration you are feeling. All contact data in the app comes directly from the school and can only be corrected by the school themselves. It is likely that the same email address has been linked to those two names and just needs to be corrected in the school data files. Once they have run the correction you might need to select the synchronize contacts option on the Contacts screen.

If you are not seeing all the options you should be seeing, it likely means there is a discrepancy with the email account on your file somewhere or with your profile. My recommendation would be to ask your school to open a support ticket to investigate further.

School newsletter attachments still don’t work in app

I do like the app because it can push notifications. I can still see school messages even when my normal email delivery gets blocked because it went to spam.

My only issue is that the attachments (typically the weekly newsletter) sent in the messenger app fails to open or allow me to copy the link in a safari browser.

Helpful app

This has helped my communication with the teacher and I like that I can easily get pictures from class.

Horrible

Logs me out randomly. Loads incredibly slowly. Doesn't show badges. I really wish my kid's school had stuck with Remind.
