I can’t log in on the web version and the school has sent me 2 password reset attempts. I constantly get Failed Login. I tried the App and I get Something Went Wrong.
The school had reset my info on their end and nothing works.
UI needs a lot of improvement
Oddly though, it’s better than the old School Messenger app, so it gets a star for that.
Update makes setting time out way more complicated!

Hello there. Thanks for your feedback. This should not be happening and I wonder if you have tried deleting and reinstalling the application? If not, please attempt that and if the issue still persists, kindly reach out to your school and ask them to open a support ticket with us on your behalf.

Hello there! Thanks for taking the time to leave us this feedback. With regards to your issue with the phone number; all data comes from the school directly. Please reach out to the school and ask them to update your contact information. The next time they sync their data with us (usually nightly) it should be updated in the app. Regarding the dark mode request; we have captured this and added it to our consideration list.

Never sends confirmation email

Hello there. It sounds like your email address is on the unsubscribed list. You will need to contact the school and ask them to check their blocked list so they can remove you. It might also be that the school is not sending your email address to our system so we are unable to send a verification as we don't have an email address to send it to. Sorry for the inconvenience.
UI is very poor
How do you enable notifications? I have 140 emails but not a single notification for them. Yes, notifications are enabled on my iPhone.

Unfortunately, how the email is created may play a role in how it displays in the mobile app. If you can kindly send screenshots of the message in the app and the message in your inbox along with the date and time it was sent we can investigate further. Push notifications are enabled both in the app itself and in your device settings for the app. appfeedback@schoolmessenger.com

Thanks for taking the time to leave us this feedback. That is certainly not expected behaviour. The app is supported fully for iOS 16 and above so I would suggest deleting the app and reinstalling it. If that does not work please email me at HomeApp@schoolmessnger.com so I can investigate further. My apologies for the inconvenience.
Wrong name??

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review and apologies for the frustration you are feeling. All contact data in the app comes directly from the school and can only be corrected by the school themselves. It is likely that the same email address has been linked to those two names and just needs to be corrected in the school data files. Once they have run the correction you might need to select the synchronize contacts option on the Contacts screen.

If you are not seeing all the options you should be seeing, it likely means there is a discrepancy with the email account on your file somewhere or with your profile. My recommendation would be to ask your school to open a support ticket to investigate further.
School newsletter attachments still don’t work in app
My only issue is that the attachments (typically the weekly newsletter) sent in the messenger app fails to open or allow me to copy the link in a safari browser.
