The app doesn’t work!
I haven’t been able to use the monitor in months as they’re developing a new app. The solution provided was to use their app in its test version, but I don’t feel comfortable doing that. Why not keep the current app functional until the new app is ready to be released?

My baby monitor says base station updating.....has said this for a week now. Even when I unplug the base and plug it back in.
Great concept, but app and execution is poor.
The camera is full of cool technology and it worked well in the beginning stages, but recently the app has been on the fritz big time. Gives false readings on the breathing at times (this is why we bought the camera and the fact that it doesn’t work properly is a huge no no IMO). Picture quality is wonderful, but when you can’t even login or the picture takes forever to load until you give up, it’s very frustrating. This app needs a serious overhaul on the backend. Interface is good, but the end to end user experience is poor. We really wanted to love this camera, but I think it’s time to move on.

Worst App of all time
I seriously regret this purchase. The app is never ever working at 100%, and is always glitching. It’s signing me out, not letting me log in, freezing, not picking up my daughter’s breathing, turning off the monitoring when I haven’t asked it to do so. I have never been so frustrated in my life! How can anyone sleep at night if the equipment they purchased to monitor their children while sleeping are impossible to depend upon? Ridiculous and pathetic. Save your money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Great camera
I do love this camera!! It is better now that they updated somethings. It lets me know my daughters breathing rate and if updates me when she moves. She loves sleeping on her stomach and I was so nervous about it. But I love how it updates me
Not great.
Honestly I don’t even know where to start. This app is consistently awful. I tried to give it a chance but it’s just not working out. The app reads wrong bpms constantly. It will show xx bpm and when I count manually it’s double that. The alerts go off constantly, several times a night and it’s never anything, she’s breathing fine, so now I just don’t trust the alerts which defeats the whole purpose. The sound cuts out constantly. The picture freezes and says ‘connecting’ and ‘disconnecting, CONSTANTLY. The camera was way too expensive for it to be this bad. The founder even sent out a few emails saying they were making all these great updates. They literally did nothing to fix the app. Not sure what all the hype was even about. It’s the same. Still bad. The only reason I bought this was because Cocoon Cam unfortunately went under and that camera was worlds better.

Not worth it
I love the camera quality and how you can adjust as needed through your app, don’t get me wrong. But my camera constantly freezes and disconnects. I have to close the app, re open- sometimes more than once or twice to get it going again. I just don’t understand how I am going to get a night worry free sleep once I put the baby into his own room and crib. I honestly might end up purchasing a second monitor from somewhere else just in case this one decides to not work like it usually does every night. Invest your money into another breathing monitor and save yourself some frustration.

Unreliable. Doesn’t connect regularly
We are so fed up with this camera. It is totally unreliable and has caused so many sleepless nights. Their support is useless. Don’t waste your time or money. Buy a regular camera and save your sanity and sleep.

Great concept actively working to improve!
There have been quite a few changes to this app to make it a much more user friendly experience. My favorite feature is the “demo mode” which shows you what the app actually does and allows you to experiment with it before buying the camera.
There are some older reviews talking about how this app isn’t any good. It looks like they have corrected those issues now.
Their customer service is also super responsive and is open to feedback and suggestions.

A few bumps in the beginning
Took a half hour on the phone with customer support to get some issues resolved, but now everything seems to be running smoothly. The app has a bunch of useful features I am still figuring out. Will redo my rating after I have used the app for a few months.
Needs some work and better IPad version
App can be buggy at times, but I’ll give the developer credit for fixing bugs pretty quickly. Cant save your password in the keychain which is slightly annoying but my biggest gripe is there is no iPad version of this app that runs in landscape mode and can be shared on the screen. If there is any app that should have the ability to run side by side with another app it’s this one. I can have Hulu on and still answer emails together, it would be awesome if you could with this app as well. Camera is top notch though. I do see huge potential if they continue refining things.

Great idea, poor execution- hope future updates fix it
Let me start off by saying I hate leaving negative reviews, and the customer service people I’ve dealt with have been very nice, but this just isn’t working. Love the idea, and when it does work it’s great, but the app is constantly glitching. Takes forever to load, freezes, sound cuts out. Most importantly, it displays a breathing rate that is WAY different than what is actually happening way more often than is acceptable (I just accidentally woke my baby checking on a 56 bpm report when in fact her respiratory rate was a very normal 28). False alarm breathing alerts happen at least every other day, sometimes two or three times per night, and when I review the video I can clearly see on the screen that she’s breathing- isn’t the whole ad for this thing that their system is able to detect pixel changes better than me staring at the monitor? I inquired a couple weeks ago about turning on an advertised feature (“lock down mode”) and was told they are still working on actually making that an available feature in the app. This wasn’t a cheap monitor. I’m hopeful that future updates will fix these issues, but right now I’m considering replacing with a standard video baby monitor.

Awesome camera and technology
Everything about this app and monitor is great....except the fact that it logs me out almost every other day and gives me troubles logging back in. This would easily be a five star app if that was fixed. The monitor is excellent, accurate in its notifications , image quality is awesome, and breathing monitor is great. Just why do I have to log in so frequently?

App always loading
I love this... when it works. The new app design I like a lot better however it seems to take forever to open up the camera to view my baby only to find the base station is disconnected or offline even though it was just on the other time I checked the app.
Or then there’s the times I go and look and the camera has frozen and I can hear my baby moving but I don’t see it.
I still love this concept and I’m sticking with it because I hope to help be apart of the trial and error to help smart beat improve and get all the kinks out and then hopefully I’ll see the day when I’ll have a really awesome camera and app to use easily and happily.

Doesn’t work customer service is garbage
I’ve been trying to get this to work since day 1 it’s been over a month with back and forth emails and I’ve only talked to I live person once.they have tried calling at 12 am are you kidding we have jobs and a newborn.I’m going to return it what a waist of time and money

Any single type of movement will mess it up. I can’t have the crib mobile on if I want accurate results because it picks up that movement instead even though you “tap on baby to begin breathing controls”.

Older child
Does anyone know if this would work in a bigger kid. Eight years old with seizures? I just ordered it. Is the app better now 2020? I see comments from years past. Hoping it’s improved now.

The monitor set up is great. The concept of no needing anything on the baby is great. The app however is truly awful. It’s always glitching and I have to restart it dozens of times. The updates are just as frustrating. You hope they fix one bug just to create more. I hope they can find an update that works soon.

Another app with lazy tech support
The app has plenty issues and its sad they wont fix it, the camera is great although the app needs plenty work and maybe a better team of app developers.
