Record Failed

I recorded 15 mins video which crashed after I was done recording. I lost all the footage.

Not worth the money

My husband bought me the stabilizer and it says this “SMOVE is the only smartphone stabilizer that doubles as a charger for your phone of any size, with pro features.”
Well it does not have an iPhone adapter where you can plug your iPhone in and charge it. So in my opinion they should not advertise this or they should specify that does not have an iPhone adapter for charging. I don’t really see the point in spending money on a device like this when I have an iPhone. The device itself is heavy and chunky and if I wanted to take a video while placing it down I wouldn’t be able to because it does not come with a remote. So the Bluetooth adapter is semi pointless without a remote.

Seems legit to me!

I just got my Smove today after about a 2 year wait but it's here and seems well built.. Downloaded the app which connected immediately and all works fine. That actual stabilisation is about a 8 out of 10 but it is alot better than handheld so all in all I'm very happy.

REVISED: App DOES work on iPhone X / IOS 11.4

I was using the wrong app! I should have been using “Smove Mobile” instead of “Smove”. Smove Mobile works great.

So, I will leave my original review out here and update the star rating from 1 to 5. This is what happens when you use the wrong app:

“They have not updated this app in over a year. When I push the Smove Record button, the volume level on my phone increases - it doesn’t activate recording. The Zoom slider button does nothing. The Smove hardware looks pretty great, but the app functionality is non-existent. Tech Support has been unresponsive thus far.”

Very disappointed

I have just bought the SMOVE MOBILE stabiliser today, it seemed very well done until I started trying to use the app. This app has a problem and doesn’t detect the Bluetooth pairing.
Because of this, I cannot use the features that are advertised on the SMOVE website and therefore the stabiliser is useless. Please update this app straight away or I may have to ask for an immediate refund.

Poor Design

This is quite a poorly designed app for the SMOVE Mobile Gimbal. It automatically changes the screen brightness settings to the highest settings then leaves it there. There is very few information for knowing what settings have been added for the photo and video (eg. The resolution and frame rate).

Better off downloading the other one called “SMOVE MOBILE”. Don’t get this one!

Skewed horizon line

I had 2 of my clients buy the Smove device and in both cases we could not perfectly balance the iphone horizontally. The app doesn't correct the skew so you are left with vids that require post-processing work. Not optimum.

Works - just

Works and supports the features of the gimbal. But lack of updates - and iPhone X compatibility are a concern.

Easy

Super easy to use! I don’t understand why this app has so many bad reviews. I have never had one problem using it! I love my smove video!

Offers A Lot of Features

The SMOVE is a great 2-axis Stabilizer and Powerbank. When you add this App to the mix, you get a powerful set up.

Facial recognition/tracking allows you to set it up on a tripod and do a presentation and the camera will stay on you.

Definitely give it a 5 Star!

No IPhone adapter?

Are you kidding me? It won't work unless you purchase a separate iPhone chord. It also relies on YouTube for its support and detailed operating manual.

Perfect

Works great with my iPhone 7plus - thanks SMOVE !!

Won't connect to Bluetooth on SMOVE Pro

Tried two different phones. Neither does a thing when I press the gimbal button to pair. Assume this is a bug in the app.

A great tool and app

Performs well to provide a steady hand-held shot

BUYER BEWARE

The app(when open) does not seem to activate recording features by a press of a button on the Smove Stabilizer. I reached out to Smove support on 3 separate incidents and was given links to unrelated youtube videos or provided with vague responses that seemed like they were trying to skirt the issue. I posted an honest feedback on instagram regarding the device and also inquired about their return policy - Smove erased the post and has since blocked me.

Not For Pro

This is not for those that just received the Pro.

Automatically maxes brightness.

This app automatically turns up screen brightness as soon as you open it and leaves it there after exiting. Not acceptable.

Cool with potential

Only been playing with the smooth for a few hours but so far it's as expected. Keep in mind it's a first generation product that makes big promises but it does pretty good.

Setup was easy but watch the video. It has a weird calibration thing that should be done first thing. Connected to my phone without any input from me. (Which I found weird).

Little quirks so far: it's lost its calibration once and the phone was stuck at about a 15 degree angle. Just had to cycle the power in the smooth and it was fine. The facial recognition kind of works. Keep it slow and and it's fine. Personally I'm not sure what I'd use it for but it's a nice feature. There's a few other little things but nothing that turns me off from the product. Also it's a little weighty. I can see holding this for awhile and it becoming cumbersome. Some sort of counter weight might be good for V2. Also the arm doesn't stay in place when closed. A Velcro strap is an easy fix.

All in all I like it. If you have an iPhone it doesn't come with a lightening cord. Only micro USB. You need to buy a $10 adapter off of amazon to get it to work as a power block. I got this to video my sons swim meets. I wish I would of had it 2 months earlier but it should do what I was hoping.

Can't wait for my SMOVE!

I thought I'd be the first to say that nearly all 100,000 of us can't wait for our SMOVE delivery. But, please hurry!
