Doesn’t work to block #s - you can input multiple ways but doesn’t work don’t waste your time

Sigh, we are sad that the app is not working according to your expectations. If you get a lot of junk messages from the same sender and an important message like OTP comes in via the same sending, then iOS treats the new message as junk too. This is how it is handled by iOS (even if you have added specific keywords to the whitelist) One option to solve this is to delete the thread first, and then new incoming messages will come in the right folder.
