I Have my growing up memories saved on Snapchat and now they are going to make us pay for memories like what a stupid idea I guess I’m not gonna use it anymore after this. Hope the app dies after this. Nobody is going to keep it if they are this money hungry

Ads everywhere, most of the features are now subscription based, Snapchat now also somehow route FaceTime called through Snapchat video so whenever you try to FaceTime a contact on iPhone is doesn’t let you, it asks you to invite them to Snapchat

I have been a loyal Snapchat user for over 13 years and, until recently, I never had a single violation, warning, or issue with my account. Like many long-time users, I trusted Snapchat with thousands of memories—photos, videos, conversations, and connections that documented over a decade of my life.
Unfortunately, all of that was taken away overnight because of what appears to have been an AI moderation error. Content was flagged and misunderstood by an automated system, and my account was permanently banned with no meaningful opportunity to explain the situation, provide context, or appeal the decision to an actual person.
What is most disappointing is not just losing access to my account, but losing over 13 years of irreplaceable digital memories. Those photos and conversations cannot simply be recreated. For a platform that encourages users to capture and store their lives, it is incredibly disheartening to see accounts permanently erased based solely on automated decisions without adequate human review.
As a North American user, it feels like there are virtually no meaningful rights or avenues to dispute these decisions. Once the AI makes a mistake, you’re left with no realistic way to recover your account or the memories you’ve entrusted to the platform. That lack of accountability is deeply concerning.
Snapchat’s AI moderation has become far too aggressive, and when it makes an error, the consequences are devastating for innocent users. Technology should support fair decision-making, not replace it entirely—especially when someone’s entire digital history is at stake.

Snapchat genuinely why do you need us to pay for our memories. You have people that pay for premium, which is so stupid and you have millions of people who use your app. You make enough money as is you have a ridiculous amount of ads when swiping through stories you guys are already making money you’re making more than enough, but you wanna profit even more on loyal customers who have been using this app for a long time?

Amazing app for any age you have to add them before they can talk to you your friends can see ur location or u can turn it off if needed many fun filters to chose from and a great option for your kids to chat with friends or family at any time

The apps glitching and saying there’s a group call still going in my group chat on snap when there isn’t as I got to click on it and the only way it goes away is if I start a new call

It gives you a way to send pictures With a sound to have group chat with people that you need to be in touch with if you can’t text each of them and you can block people see their location And report them and remove them even if you are mad at them and then if you’re not mad at them anymore, you can add them back
