No more Mets game, why bother having an app?
Disgusting to remove games from being able to watch on Apple TV. Can no longer watch games on AppleTV with my cable subscription. So guess what? I am no longer watching the Mets 5 nights per week. CYA.
I thought Gotham was a pain
Putting MLB network between viewers and Mets is a very bad move. Now it’s proving impossible to watch, and I have FIOS which should allow me to continue to stream the games.

The blackout policy is bas enough. I’m blacked out of 4 teams- Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and both Ny teams. SNY used to be cool! Now it just reminds me of the Fn GREED OF THE OWNERS!
I’ll go see the aaa team when there in town here, but until the blackout policy is changed soon, the Mets will never get a dime from me!

What a joke
SNY now on the MLB app is the single worst decision they’ve ever made. No longer able to watch games even though I have it as part of my tv subscription. Unable to stream. They have ruined baseball.
Why???
I never had a problem with this app. Could watch Mets games and other programming with no problem. Since the switch to the MLB app I’ve had nothing but problems. MLB app is a mess. SNY may have gotten paid by MLB but the viewers got screwed.
You can longer stream Mets games on SNY app, instead you need MLB app
I currently paid $250 a month for Optimum TV cable service which includes SNY as a channel. For the last several years, that would be able to watch all the Mets games live on SNY app by logging in with my TV provider. Today’s opening day I went to do the same thing as I always do and it says SNY no longer streams Mets games instead you need the MLB app and you will be able to access SNY streaming there. I thought all the directions downloaded the MLB app logged in with my TV provider. Went to go click on watch Mets live game but it won’t play and keeps saying “This content is currently not available” I don’t know what that means but I swear if it’s due to a black out issue since I live locally then this decision to change to the MLB app makes absolutely no sense because absolutely every local Mets fan from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, etc will never be able to stream live games… why do successful apps always seem to make horrible decisions and ruin their reputation. Just keep it simple like before. I’m frustrated beyond belief right now!

Terrible
App wasn’t great to begin with but it’s absolutely atrocious since they signed a streaming deal with MLB, now your forced to buy a subscription to watch baseball games if your not in your own home watching SNY through your cable provider, and who knows if that will even work because every time you try to link your cable provider to the MLB app you get an error, absolute garbage.

Unable to Create Account
I was't impressed with the account creation process either. The app has a very poor account creation interface, sorry to say.
Watch Anywhere, not for real
I have a Verizon account on Long Island, It wont let me watch when signed into my account while in Florida, I have the current app. Get your stuff together, this is the same issue people have reports for years. I’m in Florida on an extended stay, but my account in New York is still valid.
Sports
This app is great I can watch all content via direct tv log in the sad news is when this app goes away I’ll lose SNY for good since I don’t live in NY TV market
Disappointing experience
Live coverage is serviceable in 2025 but they have basically no content in the app. There’s a very small selection of content. You can’t even watch SNY’s own original programming on demand
Constantly freezes up
I live alone, have a really fast internet yet this app constantly freezes up and I have to restart. Impossible to enjoy watching a ballgame. Terrible! Seems I am not alone…how about you fix this already!!!
Do not even waste your time
I see why this app has the ratings it has. I downloaded to watch one game while on the go and couldn’t even get past the login screen. I logged in through my provider and it never loaded. Just stayed in the login screen loading. Deleted immediately.
Not universal
How in 2024 is this app not universal for iPad and iPhone? It’s literally the only streaming app I’ve seen which doesn’t support iPad. Ridiculous.
Account Creation
Go through the process of creating an account by entering name, email, verify password, confirm password. Then hit submit just to have the screen to enter the confirmation number disappear and send me to the login screen. Enter my credentials only for it to say “Enter confirmation number” yet there is no screen to enter confirmation number. Tried creating another use login thinking maybe it may work, but nope same issue all over again. Very disappointed with this app which is useless to me. I was excited for this app hoping I could watch games while traveling for work using the app, but that wouldn’t be the case. FIX IT before the 2025 season starts.

Can’t open in wide screen on iPad
No matter what you try the image is only a fraction of the screen. When you press on the icon to open to full screen, it opens for a fraction of a second and closes again. Lousy app!

this is the worst app ever i tried to give it a zero star but thats not possible so i gave it a 1 do not download this, its a waste of your time they need to invest into another app and get a better job this is terrible thank you next
Missing AirPlay/Chromecast
This app gets the job done when it comes to watching Mets games but missing the ability to AirPlay to a TV is a problem. Any streaming app should allow this especially when it comes to live sports.
Not good for iPads
It is terrible for iPads which is kinda of dumb being that I’d rather watch on the iPad than a small iPhone screen.
Terrible
Terrible app, can’t watch anything because the videos keep freezing, (nice blue buffering ring though ). What’s makes matters worse is games are blacked out on your cable provider app ( if you have one ) so you’re forced to use the SNY app which doesn’t work, so you miss out on all fronts. Sad that in today’s tech driven world SNY can’t provide a decent app.
