Amazing customer service!

Society 6 is an amazing company with the consumer at heart! I ordered a mediation pillow for a discounted rate and was super excited to get it in. A couple months went by and I didn’t receive it. I live in AK so a long wait is to be expected but not that long. So I talked to fed ex and they said it was delivered, I guessed that maybe I had a porch pirate steal my package.
I was really upset and contacted society 6 support and they were very friendly and helpful. They expidited me a new pillow with no problems at all, it arrived within 3 weeks! I was very gratful and just wanted to share that they really are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. (:

Still manages to be the worst shopping app I have ever attempted to use

I’ve bought some decent stuff from Society6. I’ve had my comforter for over 6 years, through weekly machine washing/dryer, and it still looks great. But their app makes it borderline impossible to shop. I don’t know how they can mess up something so horribly that so many other apps do just fine with…it’s like they’re TRYING to lose business.

I notice there was an update, so I opened the app hoping that maybe all the issues that have been PLAGUING this app for YEARS finally got fixed…nope. Now I can’t even see images because they take five years to load. And it’s not my internet, because all of my other apps are working just fine. Not to mention, everything that I favorited from the previous update never saved…so my wishlist is empty.

For the love of god, hire someone competent to fix your app if you want anyone to be able to use it…

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the poor experience. We've been able to reproduce your issue and are working on a fix. In the future if you have issues please use the share feedback link in the account section under the menu item with the person on it. We take that feedback seriously and want to build a great app for our customers.

Cool art, terrible app

I’ve found a few really cool pieces from here. My number one complaint though is that the dimensions the prints come in are so incredibly difficult to find frames for. I almost think it’s intentional to force you to go for the framed art option. But like, I wanna find my own unique frames for my prints. I’ve bought art in varying sizes and it’s always the same story.
Second is that this app constantly logs me out after I close it so I constantly have to log back in to use.
Sometimes it deletes my entire “favorites” list too which is frustrating. I’ll spend an hour at a time looking through and saving art only for it to be all gone again next time I log in.
I honestly probably won’t be purchasing from society 6 again after my previous purchase. 2 prints, one in a small and one in a large. Both in dimensions apparently so obscure that I can’t find frames even after visiting multiple stores.

No Proper Artist Functionality

Seems to me Society6 has forgotten about what makes their whole business function, the Artists. I figured id download the app since their website functionality was pretty bad for dealing with organizing your products and storefront. Its always been pretty bad but its some how worse on the phone. So I decided to check to see if they have an app. They do! But its sole purpose is catered to shoppers. Wow. I mean I get it. They need to make money and the cut they take already is a lot but for print to buy it is what it is. But as an Artist, you can’t help but feel completely neglected within this app. Like the main reason this company exists is because of the Artists but nah lets not include them with making the app. I guess they figure they have enough of us and our art. Now they just need money.

And for the record. Their shirts prints wear out exceptionally fast. Their prints are way darker than you would expect. And their frame sizes are misleadingly small. So much so they refunded me on my own art purchases when I complained about it.

If you’re an artist starting out. Sure its okay to use. But its not in any way ideal. I haven’t sold much. 26 items. My total profit? $62.

If you like buying obscure art, cool. But I suggest reaching out to the artist separately. So if you truly care about supporting them they get a bigger cut than this company takes.

Terrible app

It's as if they stopped the app development halfway through and decided to cut the budget by 99% and hired someone's 13 year old nephew. Saying the app is terrible and non-functional would be a compliment.
The price showed up as scrambled and inaccurate to what I actually spent. Like, just a random number. I had to look at my bank record to make sure that I wasn't being charged the number that shows up. The tracking shows my address as being completely different than what it is. I hope I even receive my order. When I sign into Society6 on my computer, it's fine. But when in the app, nothing is correct. Why is it so different? I feel like my financial information is at risk with how bad it is. There has to be a security flaw in it. I love Society6, but their app needs an overhaul because it's unusable.

App needs improvement

I love Society6 and the fact that they have something for everyone. I love that I can promote artists and their beautiful work and I think it’s great that they offer so many different mediums to put the artwork on. However, the app is so finicky.

- I get an error every other time I click on a piece of art. I thought this was a software update that needed to be improved but I’ve had the app for years and it still does this.

- The app closes on its own ALL OF THE TIME.

- When you select a different size print to see a picture reference, the photo doesn’t load half the time.

- The search filters on the website are not offered on the app making it difficult to find exactly what you’re looking for (search by color, medium, etc.)

- You can’t search by print size whether it be specific dimensions or horizontal, vertical or square composition.

... honestly the navigation of this app is just off altogether. There are so many other glitches and missed features but the complaints above are what I see to be most important. I would buy more prints from this site if they fixed the above but it’s so difficult to use half the time it feels like a mission just to get the prints I want.

Great site, bad app

As a creator I appreciate the variety of products that I can sell via Society6. The app however, needs a lot of work, as it has for several years. First of all, it does not save your login and I have to enter my email and password every time. I appreciate attention to security, but you are not a bank and it gets tedious, especially because notifications do not work. If I want to see if I have made any sales, I have to login and check my account. This also goes for comments and likes on my posts. Not only do notifications not work for them, but when I log into the app, they do not appear on my feed. I hope you will consider this feedback and make this app work better for its users.

Needs to improve search function

Society6 sells cool stuff, but the app’s terrible search function makes it nearly impossib to find what you’re looking for. It needs 5 basic improvements:

(1) When you search for something, the app should state how many results there are, so you have an idea of how long you’re going to be scrolling down.

(2) The app should have filters for search results. You should be able to filter your search results results by things like “artist” or “types of item available” (e.g., mug, bath mat, face mask, etc.).

(3) The app should let you sort your search results by “best match,” “newest,” “oldest,” or “featured.”

(4) When the app lists search results, it should show a red heart next to any results that you’ve previously favorited. You shouldn’t have to click on each result to see the red heart. Such a waste of time!

(5) When you click on an item from your list of search results, the app shows you the details of the item, but it also shows you other works by that artist at the bottom of the page. That’s great! But when you click on one of the other works and then hit the back arrow, the app doesn’t take you back to the original item, but instead takes you all the way back to the search results. A back arrow should take you back ONE screen, no more.

Please make these basic upgrades to the Society6 app.

Great company, bad app

I love Society6, this review is for the app only. Their products are amazing quality and their customer service is great. But I have so many issues with the app, and I know others have too. Sometimes when I click on an item it tells me there was an issue and to check back later, but it just always does that even if I check back months later. But if I get on it through my browser, it works just fine. I sell on society6 as well, and I’ve had people contact me to tell me they have the same problem with some of my products on the app, but I have to tell them to buy it on their browser, which works just fine. It’s just frustrating and I’m hoping it is fixed at some point.

Wonderful Designs

I feel like there is a lot of beautiful art and there’s definitely a niche for everyone. The system is good for profiling if you decide to promote images to design or get decorative ideas across. The fact that a percentage of the proceeds are transferred to artists is a plus. The only thing I would recommend is to 1) streamline the promoting process by being able to put the artwork you like in categories or collections (kind of just a slightly more detailed filing system as opposed to the scrolling process you have now on the promoted pages), and 2) make it so that artists can view likes/followers regarding their own art pieces in a notifications tab with the user’s profile visible immediately versus having to open each picture to check for new admirers. I think that would make it so artists would be more likely to explore the pages of their admirers, which is more kinship/community ergo more support and purchases... Maybe eventually there will be a development for posting artwork on the app as well. Excellent work overall!

Nearly nonexistent customer service

I have been buying from this company for several years. This is the first time I have had problems and of course it’s with Christmas presents so time is of the essence. I received a product I didn’t order in place of one I did and my only recourse is to email. There is no phone number to call. I’ve been waiting two days for a response and am growing more frustrated by the minute. I’m also still waiting on another product that should have shipped days ago. I tried to submit a message through help center and after filling out all the info there was no place to submit it! Nothing to click on...so frustrating. I’m in limbo on two Christmas presents that have to be shipped out of town and Christmas is in 5 days. Ugh.....

So much frustration!!!

I love the art and products on this site, and the idea of supporting artists this way. But this app is just frustrating beyond belief. When I click on an item to view it, there is no way to go back to your search results...what’s up with that?? Also the entire
Layout of this app is SOO confusing and poorly organized, it’s agony to try to search for something and actually buy it. I would have purchased more items from here by now but the frustration of searching for things here is enough to make me give up and go somewhere else. It’s easier to use the website, but the website itself also has a lot of similar issues. Please fix this, because I really do love the products and would like to have a pleasant shopping experience.

Needs improvement!

The app is fair, but could be much better. When I search for items and am making decisions, I put them in my cart to compare. Most sites allow you to click on the item that’s IN the cart, and it will take you back to that item - but not the Society6 app. Nope! You can’t enlarge it or click back on it to edit or see it again. It’s an absolute waste of time to have to go search for something again, then add it a second time to your cart in a different size, and THEN return to the cart to remove one of them. I’ve literally given up and NOT purchased items quite a number of times, simply because this ability to click on what’s in the cart and return to that item isn’t an option. To edit the cart, there are two options - move something to wish list or remove it, but you can’t change a size or quantity. That’s just ridiculous. 👎👎👎

I also get super annoyed that I can’t just click on an artist’s name then be taken right to their design page. The search options are just weird in comparison to other sites.
S6 has some of the best quality items and finest artists anywhere. Why not make the site/app easier to navigate? Other online shops have these capabilities, so I know it can be done, so why don’t you do it S6? There are so many purchases I’ve gotten too annoyed and not made. Hmmmm... easier to use site = more sales. Pretty simple concept.

Please update this app!

Searching for an artist by name is fruitless. I can’t find anyone on this app. None of my artist friends can find me either. I used to promote my site on social media where I have substantial numbers of followers, but my fans keep telling me they can’t find my account no matter what links or directions or search advice I give them. It’s as if I don’t exist here, yet I have lucrative sales on every other web site I have ever posted on. I do have a few sales here, but not many. I have stopped promoting Society6 on social media until the search issues are resolved.

If you’re an artist and you upload an image and later decide to delete it, it IS removed from the web site, but it will stay on THIS APP forever. And if you were half hearted about the design to begin with, it’s really embarrassing to keep seeing it on this app, preserved in the public record for eternity.

There are other issues, but these are the ones that bother me most. It appears the app hasn’t been updated in almost a year...?

Overall, I think ordering from Society6 is a much more rewarding experience than being an artist on Society6. But when I do place an order, I only do it from the site. Never the app. The printing is excellent. The merchandise is outstanding quality.

App has no back button

Love the company and concept and have bought from Society6 before. There is no button to go back to your search results after clicking on/opening up a sale item— or maybe I haven’t found it yet. It’s inconvenient and frustrating because each time I open an art print to see if if I like it etc. I can return only to the top of a refreshed art print page and my search filters are reset each time. So I can’t just continue where I left off looking. If there was a way to “return to shopping” or even a back arrow to return to the search results, the app would be a lot more worth using as right now the desktop website seems a tad bit more functional. Thanks.

not happy with my order, but love the service

i ordered a phone case from society 6, i was very pleased with the discount i got, fast shipping, and package tracking. however, with the case i was disappointed because the color of the case was more vibrant in the picture (crazy, i know.) but i had ordered a mainly red phone case, when i got the case instead of a dull and muted red, i got a bright and in your face red. this could be good for some, but i sadly do not want a tomato red phone case. the print is very good on the phone, however if you ordered the tough phone case like i did, the bottom button cuttouts/lineouts are not flush. it’s not huge but it bothered me so much that i couldn’t keep the phone case with the amount of money i spent on it. even though i didn’t like the case, the service from the website is wonderful. i submitted a refund request, and they had no questions and issued my refund, which will be returned in 3-5 days. i’m very happy with their customer service. i will order from them again though!! not a phone case, but maybe an art print or a throw blanket. it’s wonderful how a portion of the proceeds goes to the artist of the work, and i greatly support their idea. case 6/10, service 10/10. i also has no problem with the app, it worked perfectly fine for me.

Love the site, not the app

I really love the idea of the app, and it was great when it was first launched. Now, almost nothing works. I still use it to promote the artwork of others (when it actually loads), but pretty much everything else doesn’t work. I haven’t gotten notified of someone promoting my work since November (I have it enabled in settings) yet I have definitively received plenty of promotions since then. When I go to the discover new artwork section, the art doesn’t refresh and I see the same painting 20 times in a row. One time I made the mistake of adding something to my wishlist in the app, and it completely froze the app and I couldn’t get the item out of my wishlist on desktop either, so I had to contact customer service. This app is one of the buggiest apps I’ve ever seen, and society6 needs to either fix it or just get rid of it.

Nothing but bugs so far

I am relatively new to Society6 and selling my art there; I downloaded the app a few weeks ago. The majority of the time that I’ve had it, something hasn’t worked. Comments won’t load (which is especially tricky for sellers who want to respond to comments and bump up the visibility of their art) For days now when I click on the comment bubble when it says I have comments I click to read them and respond and get a “there was a problem loading comments for this post” error message. I have tried logging out and back in, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and neither have worked. Activity stalls for DAYS. I would think I had no new activity but when I’d look on the full site, I did have new activity, it just wasn’t registering on the app. Sales don’t update or show up in the Activity feed. I really like the idea of Society6, I’ve made a few sales already and was excited about expanding beyond another platform I had previously been using to sell my photography and art. But this experience has so far been pretty frustrating as a seller. The app should be much more user friendly and far less buggy.

Update: now pretty much nothing is working with the app. When I go to my profile to check my sales report I get this message:An error occurred trying to load your sales period summary. Please try again later. This has been happening for days. And again I’ve tried multiple things and none have worked. Very very frustrating.

Buggy but has potential

I love Society6 and its customer service. I also love the quality of the prints and support the company gives regarding how to sell. The app for IPhone is buggy, though, and I do not like it as much as when it was first launched. Before the new upgrades, I could discover new artists without clicking through as many times to follow them. Also, there has been no activity registered for a week and a half through the app, but when I go to the main site, I can see some folks have liked a new post I made. Overall, I think the design is beautiful. I just want the app to work in real time and to be able to follow new artists more easily.

Love the products but the app doesn’t work

Love the merchandise. The throw blankets are wonderful, soft and warm. They are high quality. I’ve also purchased the floor pillows and throw pillow. The quality is awesome every product purchased is above and beyond my expectation. The app itself doesn’t seem to work on my iPhone, I’ve always ended up ordering from the website. I do wish it was easier to find the art I’m looking for it seems to be the hardest part when ordering. If I’m looking for a floral design there’s a lot of abstract art I have to delve through in order to find it. Please make it easier to sort especially when looking for items for my grandchildren I would like to find castles and fairies easily instead of delving through all the grown up abstract art first. The sort option needs a lot of work. I found a beautiful cascade of blue flowers one day but was to busy to order and didn’t know how to heart it thus it was lost and no matter what search criteria I put in I’ve never found it again. I truly wanted this but it’s lost and that’s sad.
