Sodium One ~ Sodium Counter User Reviews

Top reviews

Not easy to use

Most of the screens I look at are chopped off at the top.
Not the developers‘ fault, but I am vegan and don’t find many of the vegan processed foods I tend to eat.

Not user friendly

Custom food entries don’t work as they should. Too difficult to deal with for the multiple times a day you need to use it.

Even sending the review is difficult.

Record Sodium

I got this app for the sodium tracker. There are not many out there and it can be a real health concern. I have a separate app for water. Once again the creators limit their thinking in one direction. I need to limit my water intake, not make sure of hydration during exercise. This app is very easy to adjust. I can add food they do not have in their data base. And if I want I can add only those values I am concerned about.

Wasted money

I needed an app to keep up with my sodium intake, but entering the food using this app wasn’t easy. I wish I could’ve just scanned the barcode or was able to enter my food without having to enter all the ingredients.

Not the best

Water intake needs to be cumulative.

Terrible app right out of the box.

Horrible search function, no way to scan bar codes like many other apps have. I was hoping this would be better at helping me track my sodium intake but if I have to manually enter everything it’s worthless.

Didn’t like app!!!

Paid for this app and it is horrible to use. No food comes up when u search it. Can’t read the numbers on the app. Wish I wouldn’t have water my money.

Don’t waste your .99!

In just downloaded this app and then deleted. There are no instructions and no way to log food. The food list is way too long and no way to narrow it down. I’m glad
i didn’t pay a lot but good grief, add a help page at the least.

Great concept. No instructions can’t get to work.

I paid Like .99 cents so I’m not burnt. I just wish it worked as advertised. I need an app to do what this one said it does.
If it would work even close to the way it should it will get 4 or 5 stars,

Good app, but water tracking has a bug.

I just started using this app and I like it. However, it has a problem on the water use page (as also noted by another user). When I add a glass it registers but when I come come back, the glasses I marked are empty , and a message comes up asking if I want to change the glasses counter. When this is fixed I’ll I’ll give a higher rating.

Good idea but unstable app

I like the idea that sodium, fluid intake, weight, and other values can be tracked all in one app. However, while attempting to input the values of custom foods, the app becomes unstable and shuts down. Whatever nutritional data being entered into the custom food section was lost.

No way to notify the developer because there is no "about this app" button.

Money for this?

I recently got out of the hospital and needed an app that could calculate the amount of sodium intake daily. This app can do that but it took me over 10 min to find and add just one item, let alone a few. I don't have the money to spend on apps, especially if they are to impossible to operate easily.

Very User UN-Friendly. TMI Not Intuitively

Search Boxes are not Intuitive. Total absence of a Blank Search: too much drilling down to get to the item you need. Too difficult to Erase an error. There is too much extraneous info that Clutters up the App. It is titled "Sodium" but for such a small screen as an iPhone, There is non-helpful info to scroll through to get what you want.
All I need Is to tally up my Daily Sodium intake. No muss No fuss.
Please provide one. Thanks

Just doesn't work right.

It's functioned on my iPhone4 ok, but app just doesn't work conveniently at all with the ridiculous amount of long food descriptions. I understand that the devs imported this info from a database of some sort, but for usability and practicality that whole function is useless. Also needs simple ability to just enter number of mg for a meal if you want with out going through the whole convoluted process.

Great App!

Recently needed an app to track sodium and fluid intake and this app was perfect. Only one small bug that is driving me crazy. I would like to add fluids to the water tracker as I drink them but everytime I add a new input the previous data is loss for the day. So I have to remember all the drinks I drank so I can re-input them. The glasses are empty but the count is correct when I exact and re-enter the water log screen everytime. So the fluid intake section is not exactly right and I need that as much as I need the sodium intake. Definatetly a 5 star app as soon as that bug is corrected.

Thank you!

Really bad

This App is terrible. It turns off constantly. When I find a food I'm looking for the app shuts down if I try to log it. Sometimes it shuts down when I click on a food from the list. I'm glad I only lost .99 on it. Buyer beware!!

Could have been useful

But as has been mentioned it crashes when you search and click on a food you just ate.

Developers should fix this, but not holding my breath as the last update was from November 2011.

Helpful App

Has list of many fast food restaurants with the sodium content of their food. You can also add your own foods, or favorite foods.

Great app, but it crashes

App is fantastic for me as I have high blood pressure. But it crashes every time you search for and click on a food item. Making it completely unusable.

very happy

This app is super easy to use. I started using it two weeks ago and it has been easy to enter every meal, snack and beverage. Even if you do not have a specific goal, just keeping track of the "quality" of food in your diet is something everyone should do for some amount of time. It would be a nice feature to access the data on my Mac or be able to add custom items, meals, restaurant menus through a PC/Mac application. Also, it would be helpful to screen out items that will never be part of my diet.
