About
Know what your solar panels could generate, wherever you park.
Solar Outlook combines local weather, the sun’s path and surrounding terrain to estimate your solar potential. Use your location, search for a place or paste an Apple Maps or Google Maps link to check a prospective stop.
PLAN YOUR SOLAR
• See weather-based generation forecasts alongside a clear-day reference.
• Check when the sun rises above and sets behind the surrounding terrain.
• Explore seasonal clear-day potential in the solar calendar.
• Set your panel wattage, tilt and direction, and compare the effect of a slope.
CONNECT YOUR EQUIPMENT
• View readings from supported Bluetooth chargers, inverters, battery monitors, batteries and sensors.
• See how power moves through your system, with charge estimates and alerts.
• Save equipment history locally and compare recorded harvest with solar potential.
• Add Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
ONLINE SYSTEMS
• Sign in with email to view your van, boat or home on another phone or at solaroutlook.co.uk.
• A supported Solar Outlook System Bridge keeps recording and uploading while your phone is away.
• Accounts are optional. You can delete your account in the app.
Bluetooth support varies by device, firmware and protocol. iPhone readings over Bluetooth are collected while the app is open. No equipment is required to use solar forecasts or the seasonal calendar.
FREE, PLUS AND PRO
Today and tomorrow’s forecasts, equipment readings, recorded history and the solar calendar are free. Solar Outlook Plus unlocks forecasts further ahead, up to 14 days where weather data is available. Plus also adds saved places and online backup. Solar Outlook Pro adds uploads every 1 to 5 minutes and remote device control. UK prices are £1.49 per month or £7.99 per year for Plus, and £3.99 per month or £29.99 per year for Pro, charged through the App Store and renewed automatically unless cancelled. Your store shows the applicable price and currency before purchase. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the App Store.
Subscriptions help fund development and equipment testing. Anyone can request device support; requests do not guarantee compatibility or a delivery date.
Weather and energy figures are estimates. Buildings, trees, shading, equipment limits and changing conditions can affect results. Solar Outlook is a planning aid and does not replace your equipment’s safety controls. On iPhone, equipment readings are collected while Solar Outlook is open and the device is in Bluetooth range. Saved history remains on your phone.
