Sun Hours for Solar Panels

Sun Hours now opens out on the big screen. IPAD AND MAC On iPad, the dashboard splits into two columns, so today and the week ahead sit side by side instead of stacked. A frosted glass toolbar replaces the bottom dock, which lets the animated sky run edge to edge behind your forecast — gulls and clouds by day, a starfield at night. Tap the logo in the corner to scroll straight back to the top. The forecast accuracy heatmap now uses the extra width and labels each month across the grid. The sun chart no longer paints over the card above it, and everything holds together at larger text sizes. It runs on an M-series Mac too. ENERGY FLOW Energy Flow now has its own button on the dashboard and an animated background behind it. There is also a new optional Solar hot water card for homes with a PV diverter and an immersion cylinder. It is off by default, and it only ever uses genuine solar surplus — your home's own demand is served first, so the immersion never creates grid demand. YOUR HISTORY The generation calendar has a stats shortcut, so your running totals are one tap away. A new help panel explains what your best-ever day figure actually does, and why it is the only number Sun Hours needs from you. Entering it is more forgiving about decimal points and stray characters. TRAVEL The travel location picker has been rebuilt, with search, your recent spots and a clearer pin on the map. THE FORECAST ITSELF The model now accounts for the season, so it no longer runs optimistic in spring and pessimistic in autumn. Forecast accuracy is tracked against what your panels really made, and you can see how it is doing. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND ADS Manage your subscription without leaving the app, using Apple's own sheet. Trial wording only appears when the App Store confirms you are actually eligible for one. Interstitial ads are capped and spaced out — at most one every twelve hours — and they never cover the forecast you opened the app to read. SOL Sol Insights can be generated by Apple Intelligence on supported devices, and there is an optional Sunday Digest notification for a quick look at the week ahead. Thank you for using Sun Hours.
