Deleted without ever getting to try it

Totally stupid. You can’t even get beyond the intro screen without agreeing to a trial that automatically converts to a paid subscription. Terrible name for an app too. Deleted without even being able to try it. This app will fail miserably unless you can try it without agreeing to a subscription. I pay for apps all the time and agree that developers should get paid for their hard work, but forcing the user to sign up before they can even use it, that’s just daylight scammery.

I agree with some of your points and I’m working hard to adjust the onboarding experience so that the users are able to try the app. That being said you can still use the trial to check the app out for 1 week. Poorly Designed

I am trying to sign up and half a keyboard pops up and blocks the entire app so I can’t even type anything. Constructed very poorly. Can’t even move past that because you can’t use this music theory app without giving all of your information from google or Apple. Which also doesn’t make sense.

Hey! Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Regarding google and apple sign in, I understand your privacy concerns, however the Apple sign in is meant to be more privacy friendly as you have the option of opting out of sharing any extra data with Solfej or Apple. Regarding the keyboard, there shouldn’t be a keyboard input anywhere on the app. I’d love to know where you’re experiencing the issue so I can resolve it for you :)

This app really took me to the next level with understanding music theory. Worth every penny.

The Only Music Theory App

With detailed and effective lesson plans and structure, solfej is the music theory app that musicians of any level have been waiting for. Train your ears while you’re on the subway and away from your instrument, learn music theory with a click of a button, and most importantly: this app is FUN. Music theory has been dubbed “boring” and “unnecessary” by many, but with solfej, even those naysayers will hop on board. This app is a total win.
