A hope for social apps
Honestly, I would say the app is fun and unique. I haven’t had the chance to attend any events yet, but hopefully I will sooner or later. Even though I’m not usually comfortable in group settings, it’s still something I’m looking forward to.
I matched with all kinds of people and met a couple of them in person. Some conversations and encounters were disappointing, but they all taught me something in the end. I know many people, myself included, have busy lives and don’t always have time to meet up in real life. However, there are also some people who seem to prefer only talking online, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Personally, I’d rather interact face to face.
Nowadays, it’s hard to find genuine friends, so any social app can be hit or miss.
When I tried talking to guys romantically, it was exciting at first, but after meeting in person, I realised their intentions were different from mine, or the energy between us changed.
Overall, my experience using Sonder was about 50/50, but I still think it’s much better than many other social apps. My favourite feature was definitely the Mood Board!
I’ve also seen a lot of people mention that it’s difficult to find others nearby, especially if you don’t live in London. I’d definitely encourage the team to expand to more cities. Please consider Oxford too!

AMAZING APP!!
The people on here seem to be more fun & interesting than people on other apps & I believe this is due to the creativity than can be unleashed through your profile design. It helps you identify which person you may befriend more easily. They also host regular events which seem like so much fun (e.g. painting tote bags). Incredibly underrated app, definitely the best I’ve ever used to try and meet new friends — that can actually hold a convo (ofc not everyone, but I believe there’s a lot more interesting ones than other apps). The founders seem like lovely people who actually care about the quality of their app the experiences of the people using the app. Theres also a ton of options to design your profile (you can even import things) and sm stickers to use in chats. The only improvement I could think of is adding voice notes 🙏

Location limits
I was really excited to join after seeing it on TikTok and as a person that struggles with loneliness I thought this was a cool way to make new friends. However, I’m getting no likes and I think it’s because it caters to people in London and everyone I swipe on is based there. I wish that that was a bit clearer before I went through the whole process of setting up my page because I can’t really use it for the main purpose now. I tried to submit a ‘new city’ form and it didn’t work either. I’m sure though if I was based in London, it’d be a great tool to meet new friends!

fun app, issues with bugs and crashes
really fun and creative app even as somebody who doesn’t live in the uk!! i’ve met some great international friends so far and had a good time customizing my profile to the fullest extent, as well as seeing what everybody else does with theirs. unfortunately, the app being so young means it’s still a bit buggy. i’ve had issues with editing text specifically causing the app/profile editor to crash unless i deleted and reinstalled the app. it’s still usable, but i’m excited to see these problems get fixed so the app can live up to its full potential.

App doesn’t let me log back in or make a new account
Was using this app for a week then it wasn’t showing people’s profiles so I logged out then tried to log back in. Now when I try to do it, it keeps saying “oops, something went wrong, please try again”. It’s been weeks now and I can’t get back into the app.
Whats the issue and can this be resolved? I’d like to go back to using the app

App does exactly what designed to do !!!!!!
Literally THE App everyone in London needs to download rn to meet new people in London I love how it works as both an online messaging but also provides discount to attend their in person events. I have met so many new interesting both by chatting online and by meeting irl by attending their in person activities where I have formed so many meaningful connections I wouldn’t have found with the app.

Nobody in my city
The app is great if you live in London, but not so great if you live anywhere else in England. I am being shown absolutely zero profiles of anyone near my city despite me having location filters on. The profiles are all people who are London based and there’s no events for people who don’t live in London

AMAZING APP
this is such a great app for meeting new people, I’ve met so many lovely individuals and formed long lasting friendships, the app is simple and easy to use and the concept is very unique. Love how the events are clearly layed out, making it easy to plan when I go! keep up the great work :)

the most frustrating app in the world
this app is nearly impossible to use!!
It’s impossible to select anything on your profile, the stickers randomly duplicate, and the text boxes randomly close mid edit. genuinely one of the most frustrating apps I’ve ever experienced using. Would NOT recommend.

cute app but SO laggy while editing profile
try and edit any part of your profile for longer than 5 mins and your phone will become 1000° and lag to HELL. literally have to edit a few things, put phone down for 10 mins to let it cool down and then come back to it

many inactive users
i like this app, it’s so cute! and a great place to go if you’re trying to make friends as everyone is on the app for the same purpose. the design features and styling is soo cute too, so i think it makes finding people with a similar vibe really easy. My only complaint is that i feel like there are many inactive users on the app, unless im wrong? i only downloaded the app a few days ago and but that’s my impression and wonder if they have a filtering system for who shows up for you to like also based on user activity x

This app is so cute I’m really loving it so far. I’ve met two ppl off there so far and every connection feels so intentional. It’s really helped me get out there!!
App glitches and freezes
Not sure how old this app has been going for and the total amount of users but even just creating a profile made my phone screen freeze, the app glitches and kept freezing everytime I edited or clicked/saved something!

Events review
This is more of an events review. After going to 3 of them I can confirm that Sonder hold the best events and it all comes down to the founders. They do a great job in creating such a welcoming space each time. I’ve been to other events in London but the founders never get involved as much as the founders of Sonder. The same goes out to their friends who also help out at the events! They always make sure that you’re not alone, will even introduce you to people and join in some games too.
Sonder attracts a certain type of people and everyone you meet at events or on the app is so friendly and nice. Everyone has such a positive vibe to them. They’re definitely making a big difference here!
I look forward to more events next year :)

innovative and refreshing
our generation in this modern society we yearn community this is the best take for a resolution! even though we have vast online forums and platforms it usually doesn’t expand further than commenting and liking posts. i love that you create a profile from a blank space, (i love the picasso feature) it creates a data base of people who are willing to invest time into creating a profile and intro to make real connections with others. i love that sonder runs event using the app. it develops something online into something real. i would love for them to start a subscription for unlimited likes. it’s so frustrating finding someone you would really get along with but dont have likes and when you do the profiles have refreshed and cant find them anymore. also i’ve noticed a bug when adding images it sometimes it removes saturation and adds a slight green/yellow tint.
