Great at its task
I truly love this app and have been using it for 13 years or so. Relatively easy to use with some great functionality. If there was one thing I would change it would be to make a rack setup exportable so that once I have it built I can add it to a second device. But I have probably used this app longer than almost any other on my phone—like a dj sound pad, for ceremonies, and as the FX bank in my parade vehicle—and it has never let me down. There aren’t many apps that you can say that about.

Recently updated again (today 13-Jul-2022) in hopes that bug was resolved….
Oops crashed instantly.
Just to confirm I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. C R A S H.
Please resolve.

Great to Use, Difficult to Setup
Love using this app, but setting up a new show is extremely difficult. You can’t import tracks while on an iPad. You have to connect to a PC or Mac in order to get the files where you can actually import them. If there was a way to use this on the iPad alone, it would be 5 stars.
Bug Not Fix
As for the previous opinion from 3 years ago, selecting sounds in the music library does not work (I’m on IPhone 13 Pro).
The playback progress is invisible because it is the same color as the cart. I regret my purchase.

Disappointing
I’ve been using this app for years for my podcast. The file structure broke when Apple updated to APFS in iOS 10. As of writing, the latest iPadOS is 18.2. It’s unbearable to add clips to the app when they don’t show in alphabetical order. Sorting the contents of a directory is Coding 101. It’s even more embarrassing to think this developer had access to the dev betas and still failed to update such a rudimentary feature.
My podcast ends today, and while it’s bittersweet, I’m very happy to be free from this app.

App no longer supported by developer
I’ve been using this app since it was developed, and there’s been some major improvements and I absolutely love it for live music for sporting games. However, since the release of iOS 15, it has huge bugs with it, the biggest is the sound files are not listed alphabetically, and also crashing periodically. The app developer is no longer supporting it - I’ve contacted them several times by email to try and fix the issue, and release an update, and have received no response. Don’t bother purchasing this until it’s updated.

Music format radio show invaluable aid.
This is the second time I had to get this app because ofApples upgrade a few years ago my old iPad was outdated. It’s an amazing app, sometimes because of Apple iTunes it’s a little difficult to get new sound events into it but I always seem to figure it out eventually, it’s just never like the instructions on the app. They perhaps could be updated please.
I use this app for both bed music which I play under my mic breaks and I also use it for short little sound events in between songs. It is indispensable for me and my show. I’d feel naked without it. It helps me to put the show into the show.

Cannot upgrade to new device
I've been using this app for years. First on an iPod Touch and then on an iPhone 5C. I tried it on an iPhone 7, but I cannot change the songs as it crashes when loading the list of songs. After restoring the app on the 7, it did upgrade to the latest version.

Can’t upload
I can’t even open iTunes to upload songs to the pad.
Best I’ve Found
Works great. Does not work with Apple or Amazon Music. Downloaded songs won’t show up as able to add to cart. You have to actually buy the song (which I don’t really buy songs anymore with a music subscription). But for $1.29 a song, I pay for the ones I use on this, not too big of a deal, but would be a great update.

Good program that needs updating
20-year tenured broadcaster here. I was looking for something to run a radio show after iJingle discontinued support for their App. SoundByte is very functional but definitely an older program. I wonder if the developer is still watching comments and enhancing the program. The age of the product makes some features difficult to use. Suggestions for developer:
1) Loading to the iPad from a computer isn’t too difficult, but selection of items from the “SoundFile” is aggravating because the list isn’t alphabetized. Why isn’t there a sort button? Or at a minimum a default alpha sort?
2) Default setting for cart color - add a default in the SETUP screen.
3) The Cart Color selector for each cart doesn’t seem to hold the customer cart color. The color “wheel” is difficult to use and match color from cart-to-cart. It would be easier if a MS PowerPoint color “grid” was present instead of the older-style wheel.
4) There is no backup and restore capability. I’m paranoid I’ll have to spend another 4 hours loading up files and custom-naming them if something goes wrong.
5) The “Cart Rate” setting distorts the quality of the playback. Modern digital manipulation of song files don’t do that. Why offer the feature if it’s not functional?
6) There’s no “Exit” button. Yes I know how to close an iPad app…but without a backup function, I’m deathly afraid of losing something.

Can’t chose any title out of my music library. Update: Does no work with my iPhone anymore! Waiting for updates since years. Will change to Sports Audio DJ now. Very disappointed! No more updates? Super App! Die Beste im AppStore. Aber...Button zum wechseln der Seiten, Play, Pause bitte etwas größer, bzw. Möglichkeit ein Button der Cartwall entsprechend zu konfigurieren. Seitenwechsel am liebsten auch per Wischgeste! Ferner bitte Fade In und Fade Out Möglichkeit und Mastervolume bzw. dynamische Lautstärke, so dass bei allen Jingles die gleiche Lautstärke ausgegeben wird.

Been using it for a few years…
And I love it. Very easy to use. Updates always address most glitches. My only complaint is how some albums won’t load. Rare, but it happens. Almost perfect soundboard.

Broken as of today
The day I’m typing this, the app crashes if the user taps either Setup or Music Library on iPhone 13. Will update my review when the app functions.
Devs, please also update to allow adaptive resolution — it looks like it was made to fit an iPhone 6, and this app can really make use of the new real estate that came with modern iPhones.
