It never works right

Update Interface and features

The app is slow. It’s missing a lot of features that other bank apps have!! There’s no way to dispute anything. No chat option. No editing. No customization nothing. We have to call in for everything

I love SouthStar bank, but the app seems very outdated. I like the interface CashApp uses and I think it would be cool for it to be similar to that. Also, my phone doesn’t use Face ID and it gets very old after awhile constantly having to put my password in and having to verify a code through text every time.

Great small town bank

Moved over from a major Credit Union due to lack of adequate service. The app has everything the old Credit Union app had. Face unlock and mobile deposit were the main ones. Also the app gives you the ability to set monetary and location limits on debit cards attached to the account. This is of great help with teenagers just starting to explore independence. This feature wasn’t offered at the larger Credit Union at all. All in all I’m glad to be back with the small town bank. Where they know your name.

Wonderful bank!

We moved here to Texas from a small island off the west coast of Florida
We loved our local bank where ‘everyone knew your name’ and did a terrific, personal job.
It is the same at south star bank. Friendly, very professional staff with a sincere, gracious atmosphere.
The children’s savings accounts are great as they encourage the kids to save with fun promotions etc.
We have been so nicely surprised and our extended family has and is moving their accounts to South Star.

App needs work

The app could be better. Face ID could be introduced to the app since the iPhone X doesn’t have Touch ID the Face ID could be very useful. Also, maybe the function to be able to temporarily disable a card if lost should be added to the app. Another thing is that I have it set to where I should be able to view my account balance without having to sign into the app, which is a very useful feature, but it doesn’t work.
