Works for Bass, too

I have enjoys using this system more than any other headphones and pedals. Still love to feel the bass through my amp, but when I have to be ‘quiet’ this makes it more enjoyable. Love the ease of setup and AI for getting bass tones similar to a song or group.

What a find!

I got the SparkGO after trying other small amps like Boss Katana and was just disappointed with tone and abilities. Saw someone mention the GO and just took a shot in the dark. I genuinely rate it as one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. You can create virtually any tone you want, can save 4 presets permanently offline if you want, play backing tracks to jam on and I can even fit it in my guitar case for travel.

5 stars: give me a pitch shifter/harmonizer pedal please.

It’s Okay?

I’m sure at one time this app was cutting edge. However, it has started to decay. Features that I’m sure were once popular are starting to break. Will it be updated before rigor mortis sets in?

Prime example, there is only one in app purchase, Experience Jimi Hendrix. It is displayed right across the top of the screen. It is unavailable for purchase. The content has expired.

I’m sure for advanced users who only use this for tones are happy. Those function well. For the use of learning new songs, this is straight up clunky. Designing new tones with AI is greeted with the experience of the keyboard overlaying the navigation buttons. You are forced to decide if the tones you have are good enough, or if it is necessary to use the AI, then force quit the app and go through repairing.

The saved song list (just one list, no option for playlists, unless you’re an Apple Music subscriber) has no customization and no search. If you saved more than a few songs, you will be forced to scroll through your entire list in the reverse order of which you added it. You will also be subject to looking for the title of whatever the person who uploaded it to YouTube named it.

The app is still usable, but letting it rot makes me mindful that my physical amp is only good for as long as this software is maintained. I like the product, but it makes me question if I should continue to invest in Positive Grid gear, or if my money would be better spent buying a dump amp and fancy pedals. Having easily customizable tones is cool. The amp is great. As far as using the app for anything but guitar tones, you would be better off getting a $20 annual Ultimate Guitar subscription.

Lots of bugs

The app constantly tells me to connect my Bluetooth audio even though it is connected so some of the features never work.

It always says to register my device even though I’ve done it sever times.

Connecting my spark control is a whole process every time. It never just connects, I have to hold down the button on the device.

Great sounds but connectivity is really poor

Needs a lot of work, but it´s good for experiment

I need to organize my presets in collections (folder structure) change the order of presets, create own categories, delete categories. I donˋt want to see all created presets arranged in a single list. For example, if I decide to make a project album, I would create a collection folder for that specific album project. These collections can exists in a separate tab, showing your custom projects albums. The app is not made for advanced users, but is a good starting point for just practice, not serious project or album solo creation. All the other features are good, AI is good, chords are good, amp modeling is very good. You can create a very well tones for any guitar. The only thing is, I cannot create custom collections or folders, or re order presets as I would like to.

Maybe the worst app ever

This might be the first app ever made. And there are thousands upon thousands of apps out there. The amp is great. But the app is the wrist piece of software ever coded by human (or even AI) hands. Utterly non-intuitive, it seems designed to confound, perplex, and flummox. It’s almost as if a team of trolls got together and said: what can we do to create the most frustrating user experience ever devised. And then they did it.

Amazing upgrades

Great AI amp modeling. Spot on. My only complaint is that it’s hard to get to amp library and edit. Also have to close the app to exit AI amp creator.

Constant disconnect problems

I use iOS 26.5, if I leave the app it requires some time to reconnect which is enjoying. I am using the same device to look things quickly in my browser or other apps and the switch back to the spark app. Another thing I noticed, sometimes it disconnects and then fails when tries to reconnect. I have to power cycle my spark mini in order to fix it. Folks, spark is an awesome product, it is not damned hard to figure out software connectivity problems with iPhone. Just spend some time testing it.

Just got it

Having a blast!

Great when it works, but it usually doesn’t.

Edit: It seems like the app and interface get worse every time I use them.

It’s a cool concept and it’s great when it works, but half the time when you try to load songs on the play-along feature they either A) don’t have results even though the songs are definitely on YouTube or B) it lags and sounds choppy. It’s also hit or miss whether it will connect to Spotify. And none of that is to touch on the well-known Bluetooth issues.

New beta version AI is a step backwards

Previous version made multiple suggestions. New version gives 0-1 choices, 0 being text only telling you how you Might achieve the tone you would like based on your search, 1 being generally sub-standard in accuracy and volume.
A very disappointing “improvement “.

Tones are ok, usability is terrible

The app is hard to use with terrible UX. It constantly freezes up. The AI tone feature is hardly ever working (“failed to load; network errors”). Generally kind of sucks.

Unable to sign in through app

Unable to sign in to my positive grid account through app (iPhone and iPad)

Freezing when connected

Nope didn’t fix it!

Good

👍

Brilliant but needs tweaks

Great system, which I use multiple times a week.
Spark Go: on button is really annoying. Press and hold takes too long. A traditional On/Off button would have been better.
The until takes multiple times to connect to blue tooth.
AI drummers great ideas but the patterns are dull.

App does not connect with spark go amp on iPhone pro

All great - then came 4.5.3

Loved Spark App, I use it with 3 different Spark hardware products. Stable, flexible and fun. But: I upgraded to 4.5.3 and now: crashes when you use AI tone generation and refuses to connect to hardware. So now I have 3 useless bits of hardware, can’t play in my band. I hope it gets patched soon.

Great software. Terrible hardware.

The software is awesome. Great UI. Super easy to use.

But if you run into connection issues with your amps or headphones. Forget it. The app becomes completely useless. No amount of factory resets will fix it.

Отличное приложение !!!!

Это самое лучшее изобретение для занятий гитариста !!!! Все в одном !!! Spark Mini звучит очень хорошо для своего размера !!!!
