Just got it

Having a blast!

Great when it works, but it usually doesn’t.

Edit: It seems like the app and interface get worse every time I use them.

It’s a cool concept and it’s great when it works, but half the time when you try to load songs on the play-along feature they either A) don’t have results even though the songs are definitely on YouTube or B) it lags and sounds choppy. It’s also hit or miss whether it will connect to Spotify. And none of that is to touch on the well-known Bluetooth issues.

New beta version AI is a step backwards

Previous version made multiple suggestions. New version gives 0-1 choices, 0 being text only telling you how you Might achieve the tone you would like based on your search, 1 being generally sub-standard in accuracy and volume.
A very disappointing “improvement “.

Tones are ok, usability is terrible

The app is hard to use with terrible UX. It constantly freezes up. The AI tone feature is hardly ever working (“failed to load; network errors”). Generally kind of sucks.

Unable to sign in through app

Unable to sign in to my positive grid account through app (iPhone and iPad)

Freezing when connected

Nope didn’t fix it!

Good

👍

Brilliant but needs tweaks

Great system, which I use multiple times a week.
Spark Go: on button is really annoying. Press and hold takes too long. A traditional On/Off button would have been better.
The until takes multiple times to connect to blue tooth.
AI drummers great ideas but the patterns are dull.

All great - then came 4.5.3

Loved Spark App, I use it with 3 different Spark hardware products. Stable, flexible and fun. But: I upgraded to 4.5.3 and now: crashes when you use AI tone generation and refuses to connect to hardware. So now I have 3 useless bits of hardware, can’t play in my band. I hope it gets patched soon.

Great software. Terrible hardware.

The software is awesome. Great UI. Super easy to use.

But if you run into connection issues with your amps or headphones. Forget it. The app becomes completely useless. No amount of factory resets will fix it.

Sensational! I thought this was allotta hype. It's well described as the best practice amp. Easy install, app navigates well and easy to be productive quickly!!! 3rd day Wow

App update

I’m trying but doesn’t seem to want to update, I pressed the download button but takes you straight back to App Store with no update option????
I love the spark stuff but app can be annoying and why isn’t there a simple 8 track recording option💁💁

All sounds stop , lead & Bluetooth

This is my 2nd Amp doing the same thing. Works for 10mins then cuts out then comes back on again 1minute later then it all repeats , factory resets don’t work with this issue , I threw my other amp out now this one is doing the same , waste of money . Pitty because when they work they’re great but they don’t travel either . If I were you ? AVOID.

Great but…

This is an amazing app, but when you try to use the Song feature (just YouTube) and you pause it, this annoying UI pops up. It’s very annoying to me because when I try to learn something from tabs at the bottom of a video, I can’t see anything. Please fix this.

Spark mini

Best little amp for home use out there,
sounds pretty dam good for all the size of it.

Fun in a box

10 out of 10 all around fun, I love it for 1 major reason, I can kind of get an idea of sounds I like before I go out and just start buying pedals and amps. For me it’s important to use what I purchase so I need a narrow amount of sounds to brand myself, meaning I don’t want to go out and buy 1000 pedals trying to find a sound ; I can do it digitally and hone in from there. Thanks guys and or gals.

Great practice amp, erratic reliability

It’s a pretty good little practice amp, but that’s all I use it for. The reason being that all the customization sometimes saves and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s very frustrating to spend an hour setting up all of the settings that you want (which amp etc.) and then find it only saved one of the channels the next time you use it. Frankly, I find GarageBand to be more reliable in that respect. I think it can be the perfect amp for a certain type of player, but I’ve been playing for over 50 years and I would like to have my amp act like an amp and not software that one has to spend a lot of time just getting it to work, or in this case, reliably saving you work. So, I use other devices and pedals instead, but I do keep it around as it is a handy practice app and the defaults that the hardware or software restricts me to or whatever, works fine enough for practice. However, knowing what I know now, I just would’ve bought a cheaper practice amp than this one.

Amazing practice tool

I love practicing with this Spark 2 speakers. As a beginner it’s helping me get better

Beta AI is a bit crashy.

Waiting for the upgrade . It wouldn’t work at first and had to waste time logging in and out to get somewhere . Other than that . Great practice amp . I wasn’t disappointed that the Jimi Hendrix artist pack is no longer available
