Best guitar gadget ever
I’ve bought several mini amps from Vox to Blackstar to Fender and the Spark is by far the best I’ve used. Well worth the money.
UP and downs of Spark
Great sound on headset and great modeling others tones yet poor quality of standards for craftsmanship buy warranty’s
Groove Looper not fit for purpose
The Groove Looper drums slip out of sync with the guitar loop. It seems the guitar loop is recorded on the Spark 2 and the drum loop is streamed from the app, and the two gradually slip out of sync with each other which makes the whole thing unusable after a minute or two.
I reported it to support and they claim it’s being looked into, but there doesn’t seem to be any fix coming. Meanwhile Positive Grid continue to advertise this as a feature of the Spark 2 amp, despite knowing it doesn’t work.

Don’t buy Positive Grid
Hardware is not bad, actually fun… BUT:
Lives and dies with the app.
While they successfully manage to include new features to throw ads for more hardware in your face, the maintenance of the app is poor at best.
iPhone app has a bug since more than a year where chords can get blacked out just when you want to read them.
iPad app: normally, when you restart a just played YouTube song, stops playing sound on the amp. You have to manually swipe the slider for it to resume playing the backing track.
Both iPhone iPad : some YT tracks cannot be stored. Don’t show in recently played nor saved songs.
The list of saved songs is not curated. Just by time added, no other way of sorting them (and that would be so easy to fix… says the SW engineer).
Each a minor thing but in the sum painful. this hardware is useless without GOOD app support.
And they seem not to use their apps or just don’t care. Idk, decide on your own.
And who really cares about all the AI bs.
I regret my purchase.
