It has helped my kid so much but fix the voice it does not work
Terrible what a waste of money!
Don’t bother with this app. The traffic game the cars move too fast. The rest of the games it doesn’t even give you which word you are trying to spell.
Voice does not work
I really like the games and that I can add my own list of words. I would love to have the voice work, that way the kids can hear the word an the letter name each time he select the letter.

Doesn’t work
Just bought this app and literally cannot make it work. Games don’t work, lists don’t load. Either the app is broken or the setup process is completely unintuitive. Useless. I want my dollar back.

Lots of bug little instructions
Lots of bugs. Little instruction. The voice never works. We can't seem to get past a certain level because the clouds don't clear but yet we have no idea how to move them. He's been playing for four weeks so he should've hit whatever plateau he was supposed to hit'
Good app! Could be even better.
I searched and searched for a fun app that my kids could use to practice their spelling words. I think this one hits the spot pretty well. I can add my own list, so they can be practicing exactly what’s required for their classes, not just some developer’s best guess. The graphics are cute and appealing. The games are pretty fun, though they seem a bit repetitive in mechanics or method of play so far. So, it will appeal to the younger grades especially. Your 5th grader and up will probably not be impressed. But even my 4th grader would rather do this than repetitive writing.
Spelling Monster works well one my iPhone but was quite glitchy on my iPad Pro, where most of the games wouldn’t function well enough to even attempt to play them. I would also prefer that the games were capable of both upper and lower case letters, according how the user entered the words, so the kids could practice using proper capitalization. Some of the spelling lists include both proper and common nouns.
Otherwise, great app and I will be recommending it to my friends and family. Please keep working on improvements. If I could have tried a free limited version with the above improvements added, I would have totally paid $5 to upgrade to the full version of the app. Just a thought.

Not good
Why pay for a app if you have to pay for it when it updates.
Frustrating
After purchasing pd version my 7 yo became very frustrated by it's so slow. I had settings all the way up to 3 and it wouldn't go higher. She claimed all the games were basically the same. Regret buying this app.
Great help but need tweeks please
We discovered this great app but have had trouble when I needed to add proper nouns. The options are either all caps or all lower case and my child needs to practice proper capitalization. Please make this option possible- thank you!
Awesome, BUT... Not working lately :(
It took me 2 days to successfully get the list from my phone to my sons, and we've been using this app weekly for months now and never had issues before. Then once finally have the list it won't let you play at all because it says you still have to add words.. On both of our phones.. :( please fix this stinks not being able to utilize this app

Spelling Monster ROCKS!!
We've been using this app for two school years now and I love it! Instead of boring "write this word 50 times," my sons can play games that help them learn the weekly words in a way that "jives" with their generation. The old school approach of paper and pencil is obsolete in a generation where EVERYTHING is digital and founded in technology! Using this app (and others like it) helps this new tech-raised generation succeed in school in ways our generation never knew!

My kids LOVE this app!
My daughter LOVES this app. We practice in the car and at home. She loves the mini games. I love the fact that spelling test scores have improved. I definitely recommend this app. I also love that they update regularly with new games and features.
Not so good
This app needs help. In one section the child is expected to add the missing letter. If the word is b_d, the student can't type in an e, a, or i. The student has to type in the letter u. This is without a picture clue, by the way. As an adult playing, I received a level failed message. Thanks. The graphics are nice, but not the educational value.

Limited functions
The games are great, but only one list can be programmed in; too bad several lists can't be loaded for several students at a time!
