A new issue caused by the update

This app is great and even with this issue it’s still my go-to, but it’s still a pain. When creating custom spell I can add all the information I need up until the description section, arguably the most important part. The screen no longer scrolls up to show the keyboard, instead just having it block the bottom of the screen and with it the description section. This is especially annoying for homebrew spells that so often need to be tweaked, added to, nerfed, or buffed depending on the situation. I can’t even write it all down in my notes app and then copy it down since I can’t tap on the description setting once it’s blocked by the keyboard. This was not an issue before the update so I can only assume that whatever they fixed before might have accidentally caused this issue.

Multi classing is difficult

With this app it’s very resourceful and makes tabletop DnD very smooth! My biggest complaint about it is that when multi classing it doesn’t read the full character level it just reads individual levels which makes it difficult to use since a level 3 or 4 character has level 2 spell slots but may not have level 2 spells. For example, cleric level 1 and paladin level 2 or 3 (so total level 3 or 4) has level 2 spell slots according to the Players Handbook but this app doesn’t recognize that even when you add it in manually the app won’t give the slots to you to use because you haven’t unlocked them in the individual classes

Ads have porn

Love the app, been using for years, but recently ads are pornographic. My kids are using this, so I’m deleting now.

Ads/sizing issues

Like the app for many of the reasons stated by others. But for an age 4+ rated app, the ads that run on the bottom are inappropriate. We run a mom+ kids dnd group, these are not what our 11-13 yr old boys need to see (often from a distance they look like something more inappropriate, on purpose of course, but zoomed in it’s usually not quite so bad), BUT there have been adult TOYS and other not so great items. Also, for us aging folks, if you size up your iPhone text, the app becomes difficult to use (and I am not sized up far). There should be an option in the app to reduce things if possible rather then changing the entire phone settings. The sizing adjustment is disproportionately large compared to the iPhone setting.

tortoise.

Great app! Very easy to use, great layout, extremely useful to quickly look up a spell mid-game, and has dark mode. 10/10, would recommend.

A must have for D&D

I use this regularly and wouldn’t know what to do without it. I highly recommend you check it out. Very convenient and easy to use as well. I hope the developers continue to update and support the app in the future.

Great App!

I recommend this app highly, especially paying for unlimited Characters. I've been using it for years. However, just tonight, on iPhone 16 current OS, I ran into a bug where, after scrolling through spells, the app will stutter,
Constantly lock / scroll and stutter; making it impossible to keep scrolling down or up. The page will, "shake".

Why

It won’t open I find a app that downloads on my device but it won’t open and I have 2 campaigns to play in

Night mode is broken

Night mode doesn’t work on the app

Qwertyhehehehahaha

Amazing help as a new DM definitely would recommend

Super Useful

I’ve been using this app for a long time. Makes it really easy and faster to use casters. You can track your character’s spells, what they have prepared, and spell slots. Also it helps speed things up when you have less experienced friends at the table or people who simply don’t know their spells (which let’s face it, is quite often) as you can look up the spell they’re thinking of using and clarify exactly how it looks in seconds. The only downside I’d mention is that it doesn’t have the new spell descriptions from the 2024 edition available at the moment. But regardless it’s an easy 5/5 if you’re playing with regular 5th edition rules.

App does perfectly what it promises

Spells List 5e is a good sorted library of every spell in DnD with all the information you going to need when playing. And you can create your chars in the app and save so all the spells. Nothing more, nothing less then what the app is supposed to do and that it just amazing about it, sadly a rarity these days where most try to put stuff in the app that it not necessary and just makes everything worse. So good to see that there are still great Apps like these one

Good just one thing

I'm just going to start off by saying I freaking love this app and it's also rlly useful for looking up spells but one thing is I wish it could tell us how to actually do the spells but overall great app

*Almost* all spells

Great app, but unfortunately I have to rate 4 stars. I've noticed spells from Tasha's are missing when choosing the Artificer class

However, I'd gladly rate 5 stars if this is fixed! This app is very handy during play :)

I love this app

Wish I could have a blue color font

simple but good

ui could be cleaner and more intuitive. this feels a little 'basic'...

Game changer

This app is amazing. I play in several different games and with this app I no longer need to remember which set of spell cards to bring or worry about forgetting them.

I’m stupid!

Originally gave this app a bad score because I thought it still hadn’t been updated for the new edition.

It has been brought to my attention that they released a separate app for the new edition.

I’m an idiot.

I would say it might be worth it to put a little something in this app pointing out there’s a different one for the new edition though, as the new one is listed way lower in the App Store.
