Update the App, lose Support

Since we bought our stationary bike I have recorded hundreds of workouts, 8 miles per workout, twice a day, virtually every day for over a year. After the App update today, none of that data is available and recording the next workout like I have for over a year, is no longer possible. Your App looks like your target audience is between eight to ten years of age. There’s no service for me in this app. SR

High Praise but …

As a long time user of a Spirit XBU55 stationary bike, I have lots of praise for the new version of the Spirit+ app. It is a huge improvement with its attractive new interface and greatly enhanced data graphing capabilities.

On the other hand I must register my disappointment that one glaring bug in the previous versions has not been fixed - its compatibility with earlier Spirit equipment with older firmware. Fortunately, the new app IS mostly compatible with my older XBU55 and I will continue to use it happily. But I will do so knowing that the app shows my RPMs as exactly half of the actual value and shows distance (and speed) values that are off by a factor of something close to 1.6 (which sounds like a simple kilometer to miles conversion error). This problem could be cured rather easily in the app through any of several programmatic fixes.

I'll note one extra feature that I would love to see. The ability to delete more than one workout at a time from the phone's memory. The ability to delete workouts based on a date range would also be wonderful.

My critique is NOT a deal breaker. I repeat my high praise for the new version 4.x of the Spirit+ app.

Doesn’t work

After an app update this won’t connect to my XBR95. It doesn’t detect the bike anymore on my app or my wife’s. For the price of this bike it’s very upsetting.

Thank you

For updating and making my last 2 weeks worth of workouts vanish and not save any of my recent workouts too.

Now I can finally say goodbye to this garbage app that works 1/3 of the time. As if I only want to capture 1/3 of my life.

Terrible at everything

Instructors are terrible, boring. Connection should capture full work instead of partial and it lost my profile.

Can’t log in

Garbage, can’t log in, at least it angers me enough to power through the uphill run.

Poor product

Lousy interface with limited functionality. Principally a platform to market subscriptions

Never saves workout

The app shows the stats from my display which means it has connected properly but when I click save it does nothing. It used to work but hasn’t worked for over a year. Very frustrating!

Where are the 4 star ratings

I’ve owned two Spirit treadmills but the latest model with digital interface is horrible fail. It updates in the middle of workouts and doesn’t sink data to the app as promised. When I downloaded app, it must be invisible because no matter how much looking I do, the only way to find it is to ask my phone where it is!! Doesn’t matter anyway because none of my workout stats are there. Based on the reviews, I’d say none of the issues with the product or App have been resolved since its original design. I’m terribly disappointed.

Forced restart of treadmill

The treadmill forces itself to update the software during the middle of a workout and shuts itself off. This is dangerous. This is the only treadmill I’ve had that does this. Absolute fail.

Terrible

8/10 times doesn’t pick up the info from the spirit bike. Horrible experience. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Lame

It does not save the result and does not sync with health even if the rights are given.

Works well with XBR95

Works well for logging workout and sync to apple health. The only problem I have is it randomly add dummy workout records to my apple health. I have to go to apple health to delete average of 4-5 dummy workouts per day.

Who is developing this thing?

Actually useless app. The watch app is somehow even worse. On a stationary bike, I get blank metrics except for time, which syncs up with the bike display and is the only thing that works. Other metrics will periodically flash for a second, maybe three times on an hour long ride.

Importantly, the WATCH APP will only record heartrate for few minutes before quitting, AND heartrate only displays on the app when the watch screen is ON. No persistence, and after a few minutes it’ll quit. Hilariously bad app.

Treadmill, same thing. Useless watch app. I want heartrate data, so I literally just take a picture of the display and upload to Strava manually.

Spirit team - either get a new team on the app and invest in it, or just remove it. It’s an embarrassing product for you to put out into the world. The treadmill is fine but I’m always going to avoid Spirit. I hope whoever decided this app was ready to release is in charge of nothing else. Honestly, I’m hardly ever this vitriolic, and rarely write reviews, but this app, I just don’t understand how.

QR Code Does Not Work

The QR code you’re supposed to scan to link your residential machine to your Spirit Account does not work. It returns a “something went wrong” error. Support doesn’t care because they would need to contact app developers in Taiwain and refuse to do so. It took hours just to get them to understand the issue (because they were testing on a commercial machine, which works differently). Think twice before spending thousands of dollars on a machine if you’re actually wanting the online class feature.

Spirit app

This app works well with the treadmill but after completion it no longer will sync with Strava. I’ve tried to get support without any luck!

Doesn’t work

Doesn’t record

Massive disconnect

Bought the treadmill because it syncs with a free app, only it doesn’t sync and after 4 months of dealing with their “help” desk AND a new console, they can’t give me the password needed to update the software on the treadmill itself.

App close when opening history

Not possible to review activities since the app close unexpectedly every time. Useless app. Unable to export to Strava.
