Splice provides a vast library of royalty-free music samples that creators can use in their projects. The mobile app allows users to browse this library, discover new sounds, record their own audio, and experiment with creating new musical ideas and beats.
Key features include browsing the entire Splice catalog, organizing favorite sounds into collections, recording audio with Splice Mic, generating new musical ideas with Create Mode, and exporting creations to a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
The Splice mobile app is free to download and use for browsing and creating. However, accessing and downloading samples from the extensive library typically requires a subscription or credits, which are purchased within the app.
The Splice mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to create music on their smartphones and tablets. The core Splice service is also accessible via a web browser on desktop computers.
You can use Splice to find inspiration by browsing its extensive sample library, organize sounds you like, record your own melodies or vocals using Splice Mic, and generate new beat ideas with Create Mode. You can then export these elements to your preferred DAW to build full songs.
