Extremely SLOW
Lately it’s extremely slow to load in, it literally takes close to five minutes to load and today it required to re-sign in but it doesn’t respond to touch. Basically it froze at sign in and anywhere you tap it won’t register. Do Better.

Good concept, poor execution
I use this app at my job to input information about the children’s day and post pictures and activities. The app as a concept is perfect and design-wise it’s fine but it is genuinely one of the most poorly optimized apps I have ever used. At first I thought it was just that the iPads we use were a little out of date but everything else works more or less fine. I’ve optimized my iPad to the highest degree it can be considering its age. Sproutabout will often take several MINUTES to load to the appropriate screen and I know it’s going to take so long to switch users that I press that input and then go do something else while I wait. Considering that Learning Care is a multi-million dollar company, I would really expect better from the app they make every one of their employees use every day. I am not the only one with this experience either, nearly every other teacher I’ve spoken to that has to use this app has the same issues.

Slow and Inconsistent
I really want to like this app, but it is so slow and inconsistent. Sometimes I need to hop on to interact with teachers and admin, but unable to even get on. It is frustrating.
Great when it works
The last “update” created extreme lag in the app upon initial opening which has only gotten worse. Sometimes it opens and sometimes it just buffers until it times out. Also forget about live stream of the classroom as for the past two months on a good day it will buffer for a full 2 minutes before it shows you the classroom. But on a bad day “like what I’m having today and which feels like the norm now” the app simply never opens at all. Just buffers before it tells you it has timed out.

This app offers constant updates about my child’s activities during the hours of her school/daycare the safety and comfortability, knowing I can see her in her whereabouts and when she’s doing the things she do. I would recommend this app to any parent.

Great for live stream but nothing else
The app has great potential. Unfortunately there are always message that pop up on my phone notifications, then when I go to find them they’re gone. The teachers cannot message back on the pictures so I’m commenting to myself, what’s the point? You can only message them in the private message section. Just take off that function if it’s not dual sided. It only needs a “like” button instead of the heart, smiley and thumbs up emoji. When pressing those options, it’s so slow and hardly ever takes the command. When saving videos or pictures, it’s takes a very long time and glitches out. It’s hard to tell if anything actually saved to your camera roll so you’re either saving multiples or none. The livestream glitches/freezes when you zoom in and back out. The idea is to have communication between staff/teachers and parents. But it’s not friendly for that purpose. There should also be a “delete” option in the “feed” section so I can get rid of the stuff I don’t want and jump to the things I do want to see or save. It’s very slow when scrolling to find the pics and videos the school has posted with many stops and glitches along the way.

It takes literally 2 minutes for this app to load. It used to be great but now it’s insanely slow. Please fix this!
I’m unable to see my child.
Apparently the app is claiming that I took a screenshot of the cameras. I know the rules and the only thing I ever do is save pictures from the updated news feed, which there is an option to save those things. Why did this happen, and how will you all ensure that this issue doesn’t happen again? I should not be having an issue where it says I screenshot something when I’ve never done that. Without cameras to check for my own piece of mind, I might as well just take her out of that daycare and into a place that uses a different app lol

Painfully slow app
Had this app for about 2 years. The first 15-18 months it was good. The last 6 months load times for my phone and my wife’s have been painfully slow.

Awful app, barely works. I could vibe code something better than this in an hour
Easy & Reliable
First time mom and was so anxious about starting daycare but this app was thoughtfully designed. I love how easy it makes communication with teachers and admin. The live camera and the quality are top tier. Reliable place to see all updates throughout the day :)
Slow!!
Unbelievably slow with the last few updates. Basically doesn’t even work because it’s so slow and unstable.
Video Playback
Installed the new update, now the screen goes to sleep while streaming. The live video used to keep my iPad from going to sleep. Please update and fix.
Love This App
I'm not sure why there are negative reviews, but I love the app. It's easy to access the data I need for my child’s curriculum, the camera, and the chat. About the chat section, the only thing that needs fixing is that sometimes when you send a message to either the teacher or the management, it repeats itself a bit. Other than that, it's great.

The app is down and it’s not just a simple down for an hour. It’s been hours, almost all day!
Great concept — but too many glitches
I really like this app when it works. I use SproutAbout both as a parent and as a teacher, and from both perspectives, it’s super glitchy. About every other week there’s some kind of issue — posts not uploading, videos unavailable, or parent/teacher messages not sending or duplicating. I love the peace of mind it provides with updates, photos, videos, and messaging, but the reliability just isn’t there yet. If it worked seamlessly, it would be an excellent app

Peace of mind when it’s not crashing
It’ll get stuck on the intro page from time to time and won’t load anything no matter what we do. We’ve tried force closing the app, uninstalling and re-installing it, shutting the phone down, you name it.
When the app is working, it really does provide a peace of mind to be able to keep tabs on my son.

The app disconnect a lot. Like right now it wont even load and its been 20 mins. I called the center that uses this app and they said its down. So I cant even use the cameras or chat to connect with anyone about mu child. Very frustrating….
