Sexualized Add

I’ve emailed the developer twice over a period of a month and have obtained zero response. The ads displayed are highly inappropriate with women wearing barely any clothing.

Inappropriate Ads

Disturbing, inappropriate ads featured. Very troubling and distracting! Could be a stumbling block to someone actively trying to seek God. So unfortunate!!!

Porn ads!

Hope is it possible that this Christian book app has such vile ads? Don’t download this app!

Great but Add

I understand the need for ads but they have become increasingly awkward. To the developers remember that young people are also using the ap.

Ads have ruined this app

This used to be my favorite app. I read the devotionals daily, and share them with my kids. But the ads have become disgusting and we all have to delete the app now.

Inappropriate Ads

If you use the free app and do not pay to go ad-free, the advertising has gotten extremely inappropriate. I have removed this app due to that.

Devotional Great, but Ads Are Innapropriate

This devotional with Charles Spurgeon’s preaching is a blessing, but the ads border on nudity and subliminally sexual content. Most if not all of these ads are from Temu. This is extremely disturbing in light of the the Biblical truth that this devotional stands for. I can’t imagine how men are not vexed every time they go here to read and try to get with God. Instead, they’re going to find a battle in their mind filled with temptation. Such a shame!

Love it But Ads Warning

I love this app and use it regularly, nearly every day. The ads didn’t bother me until recently, they’ve become inappropriate with images that are practically nudity. I don’t know if the app creator or whoever runs it is aware of how bad the ads are. I know you can just pay to get the ads hidden, but a Christian app should not have inappropriate ads like that!

Issues with favourites

Since the 31st Match 2024 update, all of the readings are now starred as favourites.

Hence only a 3 star rating for now.

Please can you look into this.

I have been enjoying this app for years, never had an issue like this before.

Many thanks.

App won’t open on my iPad or from Apple Store.

Same as title.

Great app

I absolutely love this app, and I’m very happy to support you, Luke. Thank you and many blessings.

I LOVE THIS APP BUT…

I’ve been reading Spurgeon for years and was thrilled to find this simple app so I don’t need to use my book. I’ve had no issues with the app until this morning when I discovered I couldn’t click on a word to check the definition or highlight a phrase to copy to my notes. What’s up with that? Other than that I’d give 5 stars. Can you help?

A bit tweaked

The app is simple and works well with ads. However the Spurgeon content is in the public domain which means you can read it anywhere. This combined with ads that are deceptive click magnets makes me feel that the author is just profiteering off christian public domain material. Thus I declined to pay for the ad free version and deleted the app, happily returning to my favorite online Spurgeon source with honest ads supporting important christian work.

Great content, but paid version is worse than free ads-based version

I paid for this app because I believe in the message, and I thought that it would be nice to not have to see ads - particularly ones that are are in conflict to the message of the Bible.
But now that I have the paid version, the ads are gone, but header bar at the top which used to frame all the ads now jitters up and down rapidly and uncontrollably whenever I scroll up or down the screen. It’s a nuisance, and is actually more distracting than seeing the ads. Please fix this bug, and I will change my tune on this review. But if this continues, I will be switching to a different M&E devotional. There are others.

Love it … Suggestion

Love the app but can you have the ability to highlight a word or a sentence?

Concerned

Could the year be changed when sharing it says 2012-7-27 the year is 2018

Why are they not using the original KJV ?

Awesome app

This app is amazing. I’ve been using this app for quite a long time now. The header now spazzes out upon scrolling, Hope the develop can fix that. Thanks for the amazing work on this application.

My favorite M&E

This app is perfect, no frills, just the daily devotions. I installed several different M&E apps several years ago and this free one is the one I use daily on my iPad. It has favorites, that’s all I need. I use Logos for my Bible app so I don’t need any frills here, simple is perfect. I don’t even notice the ads. Thank you developer!

Was working well but now it’s crashing.

I’ve been using this app for now 6 months and I loved it. I own an iPhone 8. Suddenly one day when I was scrolling down the app would freeze and would almost crash my phone. It would cause the home bouton to be inoperable so it would be impossible get out of the app for a few seconds. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it without success. I lost all my favourites 😔.
Hope they fix this glitch..

New to this app, too soon to rate appropriately

I’ve been trying to find out which Bible version is used for this app and if other versions are available. I am interested in the original KJV. Can anyone answer this?
