About

Squint is a 90-second daily wellness self-check for people who stare at screens all day. It's not a medical diagnostic tool — it's a habit-forming routine. Catch screen fatigue before it catches you. WHAT SQUINT DOES • A 90-second daily eye-care routine you can actually keep • Distance-corrected vision self-check using the TrueDepth camera — the letters size themselves to the right distance, so the screen does the math for you • A 20-20-20 enforcer that gently nudges you with a Live Activity: every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds • Blue-light exposure trends from your own screen-time patterns • An optional symptom journal and a streak you'll want to keep PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-in • No backend, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no ads • Your face is used only to measure distance — the camera image and face mesh are never saved and never leave your device • Everything is stored on-device; Plus adds end-to-end encrypted iCloud sync FOUR QUICK SELF-CHECKS • Distance acuity (Sloan letters) • Astigmatism fan dial • Contrast sensitivity (grey-only, Pelli-Robson style) • Near vision (Jaeger), with the phone held at a steady reading distance Every result is framed against your own baseline and ends with "consider checking with an optometrist." Squint never diagnoses, treats, or names a condition. MEMBERSHIP • Free: one daily distance self-check • Pro: all four self-checks, the 20-20-20 enforcer, blue-light trends, symptom journal, widgets, 30-day history • Plus: Apple Watch quick-test, Family Sharing for up to 5, encrypted iCloud sync, CSV export, and an on-device weekly Ergonomics Plan Squint is a wellness self-check, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. For any vision concern, consult an optometrist.
