Price Gouging
I had this app for a very long time. Long enough to watch it become popular and everything that used to be free is now locked due to there being subscriptions for everything. It was cool up until i had to pay for every little thing i wanted to read.

I just got Starcrossed to try out for now. But I would’ve loved to see a glossary of the words they use to label the people in the friends category because my definition may differ, possibly even quite a bit. Also, I’ve never really subscribed to the whole twin flame concept, but it appears I have one, and I would love to know what their definition of that would be, amongst others.

i used this app religiously before their recent updates where you now have to pay to view your placement descriptions!!! you basically have to pay a subscription if you wanna read about your placements or even see your compatibility with friends. i’m sticking to astroseek i am not supporting this greedy app.

AI-Generated everything
Starcrossed is mildly useful as a quick and easy reference to pull up my birthchart. I started the free trial to see what all the premium features do but I'll be deleting the app once the trial is up. The visual design of the app is beautiful but all of the text and audio content within it are AI-generated. This is most obvious in the "weekly readings" audios. Seriously, the ChatGPT-isms in this thing are so glaringly obvious... I could send a screenshot of my birthchart to ChatGPT and get this same content for free. Also, the voice for all these "readings" is AI, which is grating to listen to after about a minute because it's so flat and all these audios go on for like 15 minutes. There's a feature where you can "draw your soulmate" but it just AI generates a picture of a random person. In short: having AI explain my astrology to me sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? There's no soul to any of this. I don't need a computer to give me insights.

I'm using the app in Asia. What's the time standard of this app? Should I look up for tomorrow's transit for today's horoscope or is this set for my location?

I love how informative this app has been and how much knowledge I’ve gained with it, I wish I could explore more of the app for free.. it’s a little limiting but overall very happy with my experience!!
