AI-Generated everything

Starcrossed is mildly useful as a quick and easy reference to pull up my birthchart. I started the free trial to see what all the premium features do but I'll be deleting the app once the trial is up. The visual design of the app is beautiful but all of the text and audio content within it are AI-generated. This is most obvious in the "weekly readings" audios. Seriously, the ChatGPT-isms in this thing are so glaringly obvious... I could send a screenshot of my birthchart to ChatGPT and get this same content for free. Also, the voice for all these "readings" is AI, which is grating to listen to after about a minute because it's so flat and all these audios go on for like 15 minutes. There's a feature where you can "draw your soulmate" but it just AI generates a picture of a random person. In short: having AI explain my astrology to me sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? There's no soul to any of this. I don't need a computer to give me insights.

I'm using the app in Asia. What's the time standard of this app? Should I look up for tomorrow's transit for today's horoscope or is this set for my location?

Thank you for asking! Starcrossed currently uses a universal transit for each day. We’re working on an update that will make transits completely localized to your time zone, so the timing feels even more precise wherever you are.

The app is soooo accurate, but after 7 days you have to pay for every single thing! One more thing to pay for in this economy just wasn’t on my to-do list

Not worth it

I don’t see anywhere in the description that you have to add friends in order to access the main feature, which makes the app pointless if you don’t want to do that. The option to pay to access the content doesn’t bother me as much as the price. I believe in paying people fairly for the work they do but a lot of insights read like AI and I’m not willing to shell out $60. Gave it 3 stars instead of 1 because I deleted it within 10 minutes and didn’t get the full experience. It might be better with friends and regular use, although I doubt it

You need to literally pay for everything. And yeah maybe it gives you chart insights but honestly you can get that on every website. Useless app.
