Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback. Distraction events occur when the car is moving, the screen is on, and the phone moves in a non-cradled fashion. Tapping or swiping also indicates your attention is diverted from the road. The best way to avoid this is to keep your phone cradled and not let any passengers use your device while driving. In addition, we don't want to penalize you for instances where you're meeting the speed limit. As you have stated, your car was not moving to create a distraction, and the app didn’t correctly show speed limits or capture the correct speed. We would like to research your experiences to determine what is happening. Each user experience can be different, and providing specific trip details to our Support Team will help us isolate your concerns. If you’ve already reached out to our Support Team at Telematics@StateAuto.com, and didn’t get a response, please call us at 833.724.3577 and follow the prompts to Safety 360. We look forward to hearing from you.
