Can I add many friends to StayLit?
StayLit focuses on a small circle of people who care. You add friends by username, and there are no follower counts or public profiles, ensuring a private and intimate connection experience.
What are 'nudges' in StayLit?
If you notice a friend's check-in status is fading, you can send them a 'nudge'. This is a gentle, playful reminder for them to check in. They can respond with a quick preset message when they do.
How does the trusted contacts feature work?
You can designate 2-5 trusted contacts who do not need the app. If you go a prolonged period without checking in, these contacts will receive an SMS alert, providing a simple safety net.
Is StayLit suitable for emergencies?
No, StayLit is explicitly not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, you should contact emergency services immediately.
Does StayLit track my location or access my contacts?
StayLit prioritizes privacy. It does not track your location, access your contacts, or require camera access. Your data remains yours, and you can delete your account at any time.
