What's New in Steady
1.7.2
September 28, 2026
Steady 1.7.2 is the biggest update since launch. • Import your roster from a photo or from your Calendar. Point your camera at the printed sheet on the wall and Steady reads the dates, shift codes and hours, then shows you every day to confirm before anything is saved. • A light plan for your body clock: when to seek bright light and when to avoid it, timed to your next shift. • Exercise and meal windows that fit your predicted energy and your next sleep, including what to eat on nights. • Fatigue forecasts on your calendar for the next 7 days, so you can see the hard days coming. • A shift-aware sleep score that measures consistency against your own rotation instead of a 9-to-5 clock, so nights don't punish you. • Sleep stages and overnight vitals from Apple Watch: HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, wrist temperature and blood oxygen, each scored against your own 30-night baseline. • Discoveries. Steady compares your tagged nights and tells you what actually changes your sleep, corrected for whether it was a work night or a rest night. • Ten-second check-ins at bedtime and on waking, with 18 shift-specific tags. • Wind Down: brown noise, pink noise and a 4-7-8 breathing tone with a sleep timer. • Shift-day alerts: leave-by, wind-down at shift end, and a nudge through the 3 a.m. danger window. • A system alarm for Smart Wake on iOS 26 and later, so it rings like a real alarm. • Lock Steady with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. • New large widget, a Lock Screen widget, and a Control Center button that logs a nap. • Siri and Shortcuts: log sleep, ask for your bedtime target or next shift, and run a bedtime check-in. • Share your week as a card. • Built for the iPhone Duo and for iPad: two columns of cards on the big display, a proper sidebar and detail layout, menu-bar commands and keyboard shortcuts. Nothing is a stretched-out phone screen. Everything on your phone, as always. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.
