Awesome App
The modules could be scaled up, but they’re easy and quick to get through with good and helpful info. The driving tracker is also very neat. Right now, it just says no events this trip but gives me a 94. I just wish it said what I needed to improve. But in general, who can turn down a discount for a few driving lessons?

This sucks
Even though I calibrated the app and was driving smoothly on straight highway stretches, this app said that I hit over 80 sharp corners. It gave me a 50/100 for smooth driving. The lessons are alright but even if you watch the short video, the questions aren’t all from that.
Very broken ratings
The app is very broken when it comes to driving behavior and events. Was driving on a straight highway with a 40 foot camper and got flagged for 10+ “sharp cornering” events. One of the other times this happened it flagged me for 14+ sharp cornering, fast acceleration, and hard braking in a parking lot all within 15 feet of each other.
This app genuinely just did not want me to have a halfway decent score.

I like it but the quizzes are a little repetitive

I would like to see the option to pause the recording, just in case my child has to go into a store. Everywhere they drive is not going to be a 30 minutes time frame.
Terrible tracking
This app said I had not 1, but 4 “rapid acceleration events” while I was in the middle of getting off a highway while my foot was on the brakes (because I’m getting off of the highway). Anyways this app doesn’t help you unless you’re not on the highway because the tracking is so stupid and sensitive.

good app and good reminders but this is the stupidest requirement for new drivers. like 5 hours is going to show you absolutely anything about their real driving.
The most problematic app I’ve ever owned
I have no doubt that this app was made to make you pay more for insurance. The mere act of rotating your phone while it is active sets off multiple different. Driving occurrences absolutely tanking your score. It is almost impossible to get a perfect score and while doable is not made hard by the act and skill that comes with driving but having to juggle the many bugs and problems that this app has. I think that something this buggy should not be used to track somebody’s driving. not only are there much better alternatives but the support center and access accessibility from the consumer regarding this app is abysmal being on the phone for over two hours just being passed back-and-forth from Person to Person should not happen.
Overall, the time spent using this app has brought nothing but headaches, and if you’re thinking of using this app for any actual legitimate reason, just prepared to be bombarded with problems.

Helpful tips and tricks
hard to operate, but easy to understand
I mostly never used this while driving that was because apparently you have to manually start your driving segment for a complicated step process. there’s also side lessons you can do to make sure you can get proper claim values, but one of them added a photo of a tornado on it and they never bring up a tornado anywhere in the tutorials.

Useful but sensitive
This is useful for new drivers however it can rate driving with too much scrutiny with acceleration, braking and turning. My son was marked down for sharp turning into our driveway.

Every little bump in the road triggers an event…either a hard brake or rapid acceleration. Turning onto a street is considered hard cornering.
What a scam
Calibrated the phone and started the drive twice with the timer going. The app kept resetting itself or went back to the home screen not saving any of the times. I drove twice which should’ve recorded 3 hours total. A waste of time

Drivers frequently need to break suddenly in response to the action of others, not because they are driving recklessly, but because they are paying attention and actively avoiding potential hazards.
My daughter initially expressed concern that the apps scoring system was inaccurate. To evaluate her claim, I use the app myself and made a conscious effort to drive with exceptional caution as though I had a driving instructor in the passenger seat and a police officer observing my every move. I accelerated gradually, maintained safe, following distances, obeyed, speed limits, and anticipated traffic conditions as carefully as possible.
Despite these efforts, the app assigned me a score of only 50 and reported multiple instances of “hard breaking” and “rapid acceleration”. Many of these events occurred during normal driving situations that required reasonable defensive responses to surrounding traffic. This experience suggests that the app may not adequately distinguish between unsafe, driving behavior and the legitimate actions necessary to navigate real world traffic safely. My husband tested the app out as well and had similar findings.
A scoring system that penalize drivers for reacting appropriately to traffic conditions, risks producing misleading assessments, and may not accurately reflect a drivers true level of safety and responsibility behind the wheel.

Driving score
It is incredibly difficult to achieve anything past 75 as the hard breaking and rapid acceleration features present impossible and even dangerous standards as you must go so so incredibly slow when breaking and accelerating that it could end up proving quite literally impossible in already slightly bumpy roads. Modules are good but that driving score feature for the app really brings down the score. I hope they can fix it.
