LINKSYS ROUTER

I am thoroughly disappointed that it was not until AFTER I purchased Strata Lite that I found out it does not work with a LINKSYS Router! I think I deserve a refund!

Hello Mymy7712 Strata should work fine with any router which passes the UDP traffic required by the ATEM protocol

Not sure what to say.

I have ATEM studio HD unit. Did all the wireless settings right. Yet, neither on my iPad or iPhone the app does not even see the unit. I have checked all the settings in the machine and the apps and they all match properly. Such a frustration to make this app working. Well, in the settings page of the app they encourage you to get a pro version which is way more expensive. Now, after such a hassle to connect my devices with the lite version I don’t know if I should try the pro! Any suggestions? Thank you.

Trash app, trash dev, trash support. Money grab.

You know when you hover over that buy button thinking you know this is a rip-off but hope it’ll at least work enough to be worth it in 1 year or so? Yeah, that’s this app. But still not worth it 1 year down the line.

Absolutely trash - this app is so poorly designed I’m amazed Apple allowed it.

1: the app will refresh its GUI constantly while it tries to reconnect to the ATEM device. This leads to you tapping the same button repeatedly like a slot machine hoping you caught it while it didn’t disable the button and actually sends the command.

2: dev has no idea about WiFi, how it works, or what would fix it. To quote them, “we saw Apple airport behaving better”. Right, makes sense, a 2.4GHz router from a decade ago. Then in the same breath the dev blames your router and BlackMagic for the intermittent connectivity this app is barely handling. I’m 5 feet away from my router, and the laptop using Software Control uses the same router, same WiFi, same protocol that BM wrote, yet magically works. It must be because I don’t have a decade old Airport.

3: emailed the dev 6 business days ago, zero replies. Not even a courtesy “thanks for emailing I’m swamped, I’ll look into it”. Silence.

4. The app costs WAY TOO MUCH for the trash quality and use you get out of it. Dev should dial it back to free. Then at least I and many others won’t be demanding the dev fix the app to work as advertised.

As it stands right now I purchased a product that was falsely advertised, and it has no support. I was cheated, scammed.

L’app quitte inopinément

J’ai réussi à faire fonctionner une fois l’app en réseau avec mon ATEM mini pro, et ensuite elle a planté systématiquement, avec le même réglage, que ce soit sur mon iPad Air ou mon iPhone X. Dommage, l’idée est bonne et j’envisageais la version pro si ça avait marché !

Atem remote control.

Works great.! With covid thing. We couldnt have more than one person in our small sound booth at our venue. Set up cameras on floor and remote monitor. Does the job!

Hi LLKOOLYOU, please refer to the list of supported ATEM versions in the app description. At the time of writing, ATEM MINI is not on the list. Some users have reported success with ATEM Mini, but its not officially tested or qualified.

The 1 Star does not reflect my experience of it

I was a little nervous about purchasing this App given its price and the reviews. First attempt to use it the app appeared to be buggy (shutting down when attempting to save the ip of my ATEM Mini Pro). I was further frustrated when the app refused to connect to the ATEM. This was my fault as I had accidentally unplugged my network hub power. Once I sorted out the network issue the app worked flawlessly. The app works over WiFi on my 2020 iPad Pro and iPad Air. The app is fast to connect and fast to respond. My best advice to anyone who has problems with this app is to make sure your network and ip settings are correct.
Note to developers, the price of Strata Pro is too high given the success of the ATEM Mini and the likely up take in demand for your apps you may increase you income from the app by pricing the Pro version more competitively. Just saying :)

Hi G-Productions If your freezing issue is new, most likely its an environmental change - look at your Wifi networking first, since its almost always the cause. Try a wired lightning to ethernet connection.

Permet de gérer son ATEM tv studio HD à distance. Il faut bien paramétrer son routeur pour que tout le monde communique correctement , mais une fois réglé il n’y a presque pas de latence.

Works but lacking basic features e.g. cut

So this app is very basic as the picture suggest. Touch a button and that source goes live. Not useful if you’ve set up two sources where one uses a key (eg PIP or green screen) and you want to go between the two.

Would love a simple CUT or AUTO button.

Hi Koni kiwi The iPad version of Strata Lite app has Cut and Auto buttons. For iPhone we had to compromise a little because of screen space.

Great app

Solid functionality, and works like a charm; would love to have cut and fade functionality in the lite version; those are the only extra functions we would need to take this to the next level: that being said, it is understandable that this would be in the more expensive version

Hi Thango Almost all issues related to 'shutting down' or problems connecting are due to intermittent or latent WIFI connectivity - that is *almost certainly* what is causing the problem you describe. There can be many reasons why your WIFI connection is not reliable, including interference from other devices, and most often, different compatibility with routers. You can now setup a wired ethernet connection to your iPad with a lightning to ethernet adaptor, which should completely solve any interference issues. Please contact us if you need more assistance.

Got potential but is useless!

The app crashes and looses connectivity like crazy! While it works (2-3 mins at a time it is great!) but as is it so unreliable it is totally unusable. Don’t bother buying it.

Super Source

Please add “Ssrc” Super Source to the selectable sources. It is available on the IPad interface and there is room to add it to this version for the IPhone. It would be very helpful!

CRASHING

App continually crashes when connected to the network my ATEM switcher is on. If I’m off the network, it stays open. Help!

There can be many reasons why your WIFI connection is not reliable, including interference from other devices, and most often, different compatibility with routers. Our users report Apple Airport routers appear noticeably more reliable with Strata. Alternatively you can now setup a wired ethernet connection to your iPad which may completely solve any interference issues. Please contact us if you need more assistance.
