App crapped up
Can’t control the device anymore… app is crapped up
Terrible Customer Service
Don’t bother reaching out to this company. They don’t respond to anyone even if you call you are sent to an answering service and they never respond back. The customer service response is nonexistent and if you’re looking to buy this device to integrate into smart home platform don’t bother.
App not working
App keeps freezing up whenever I try logging in
App shout down
Dad keep dying before I can even do anything on it. It comes up. I upgraded it. It comes up. It runs for a couple of minutes and it dies disappear. I have to start all over again. I can’t even calibrate it anymore. This is terrible.
Devise doesn’t connect to WiFi
I had water leak and this devise was introduced by the insurance company which owns the stream lab. But I can’t connect it to my phone at all. The devise emits WiFi but the app on my phone doesn’t recognize it.
Then insurance company start saying that if I don’t get the connected they will not renew the insurance
It’s terrible!!

HOW NEAR??
Unable to set the device up. The app seriously needs some freaking feedback for the user. Timeout counters, signal strength indicators, etc. How near to stand is the most basic. Seems like a quarter of an inch is necessary for that initial connection. Bleh. Bleh. Bleh.
Poor Accuracy, Absolutely No Customer Service
I have a StreamLabs Monitor, purchased March 2024. I got it as a backup to the water authority meter and to try and track down a leak. I then signed up for the Subscription Service in July 2024 to better track and analyze the data. I found, when comparing the Monitor's to the Utility's meter, that there was an over 10% error with the Monitor. And I was getting nuisance leak alerts when the shower was being used or the garden was being watered. So the product is perhaps a 2-3 star.
What gets the one star rating is customer service. When my subscription was automatically renewed, within a couple hours of receiving the notice I replied that I wanted to cancel my subscription and receive a refund. I received no response. A few days later I emailed customer service again and called them. The email was not responded to. The call quickly went to a request for me to leave a message; the auto-attendant said I would receive a call back. I did not receive a call back. After several days of calls and emails I received an email notifying me that my Subscription had been cancelled (as requested, finally), but I have not received a refund. A note on customer service: in July 2024 when I called to start the Subscription, I spoke to a human and was able to ask questions and get answers. Now, customer service is silent and non-existent. (OR, it may be that customer service is no longer staffed with humans, but is run by an anti-social AI who does not like to interact with humans).
After submitting the this review on their website, I read other reviews and found that 45 of 45 “shop reviews” are dated 3/20/2024. One other is dated 6/2/2025. Suspicious.

awful awful app
This is by far the worst software we’ve ever known. We bought the system to monitor the water flow in our home that’s insured by Chubb. We had to completely disconnect it when it turned off all water to our home overnight before we were leaving the country in the morning. Endless notifications about absolutely nothing important. Fortunately we’ve never had a water problem so we’ve never received a meaningful notification. Do not punish yourself with this app.

App Update
Unable to get support over weekend. From other comments, I assume an update occurred.. this afternoon. Frantic, I’ve taken my network down 3 different times. Resulting in nothing but poor and inability to maintain connection. Tried to contact support; no one to answer telephone call or text. A company that is truly serious about providing good customer support & service would never make changes, then leave the building for the weekend.. I’m disappointed & don’t trust you right now.

Recalibration broken
With latest update the device won’t recalibrate making it useless. Also no way to verify for device updates
App crashes
Since updating this app, it crashes as soon as I click on the device for my home. I can no longer control the StreamLabs device from my phone and have to physically go to my basement to turn the water back on when there is a false alarm and it shuts off, which occurs several times per week.
No customer support/dead controller
I’ve tried every troubleshooting method on their site as my controller seems to have power but all lights out and no connectivity. I left their support a voicemail over a week ago and nothing. My controller is now just a glorified manual shut off valve. Don’t recommend this company.
Devastating Fail
This system failed to detect a major obvious leak that caused thousands of dollars of damage. Luckily we were in town. More insidious was that it detected leaks fir the sprinklers we were installing just a couple months prior so we were fooled into thinking this actually works! Maybe it does part of the time but that just gives you a false sense of security. This is not worth the hassle. STAY AWAY!!!! Worst product ever. If I could give no stars I would.

Lack of Control with App
There should be a way to input that you are doing some unusual water event BEFORE you do it! Like filling a swimming pool. Instead it shuts off the water!
After the original “learning” week it turned off my shower just before I got into it. Apparently I decided to shower later than I showered during the “learning” week 🙄

Keeps shutting off
This app is supposed to learn patterns. We have had it for over three months. It still shuts down the water each time the softener regenerates itself. Also regularly shuts off for no good reason. It is a nuisance rather than a peace of mind
Life Saver
So thankful for their products, prevented me from having water damage in my home while I was away by automatically shutting off my water.
Causes far more damage than it could ever preven
This app is an unmitigated disaster. It shuts down water on a daily basis and often more than once. It has been the cause of thousands. of dollars of service calls and lost time and use of our home, in only a few months of use. Cannot think of anything that has been more harmful.
Bane of my existence
I absolutely despise this system. It is way too sensitive and shuts off my water multiple times a day. The app itself is utter trash. Takes an age to load when you need to access it and is overly complex when you finally get in. Im considering changing insurance providers as a result. Avoid installing this at all costs as Chubb won't let you uninstall it once it's in.

No alerts
Since the latest update a few days ago, I am not receiving any alerts. I live in Arizona; never change time zones. There is no spot for that either any longer.
