Great features but there are some serious bugs

I love the chromecast support and the download functionality but the player ui always disappears after using picture in picture, requiring you to close the app, and sometimes the app doesn’t launch, just shows a splash screen with the logo

app doesn't work without network

this app doesn't work without network rendering the core functionality of downloading series for holiday useless

great

nice app, but I wish the playback controls would disappear after a while, instead of having to tap again. They also reappear when automatically playing the next episode of a series, which is a bit more of an annoyance.

Downloads need work

I appreciate this app as an alternative to the barely-there download feature in the official Jellyfin app. I only used Streamyfin for downloading, and there are several serious bugs there. I’m sure they will be fixed soon, but just reviewing them here since they eventually completely blocked me from using the app when I was on the go. The download process itself is smooth and allows you to set your own bitrate which is great. Subtitles are only baked in, there’s no option for using a separate subtitle track - maybe an iOS player limitation? The problems begin when playing back content. If you exit a video partway through and then try to seek to the same spot again, the app gets stuck and hangs for minutes or forever. Clicking through the download menus takes very long to load the next page. And if you download too many videos, you are completely blocked from playing one because the app becomes unable to handle playing any of the downloaded videos. Thanks to the developers for providing this app, I hope to revisit it someday when the download feature is more stable.

Great but which network was handled differently

Overall decent design. The thing that makes me not love it, is that for local network access to work, you have to enable location instead of just providing a local address the server would be available at. Finamp does this for Jellyfin music and it works beautifully. Other than that I’m really liking this open source player. Thanks for your hard work

Useless

Couldn’t even login, the button is non-functional. Not much good if I can’t log in.

Ideas are great, but execution is poor

After testing all the Jellyfin clients for iOS recently, I have to say this is the worst in terms of being an actual working product. All the features are present on paper, but cannot be relied upon to work. For example, downloading a long running series (circa 150 episodes) will lead to the app being totally unusable. Even basic stuff like interface elements not guaranteed to work! I’m really not sure why this app gets so much praise.

Great UI, but one terrible flaw on tvOS

While I love the player when it works for jellyfin, the app constantly signs you out of your jellyfin server randomly after a while. Tried clearing caches and reinstalling but same behaviour- makes it unusable unfortunately and made me move to plezy instead.

Settings and downloads don’t work

Tapping settings, downloads, and the other buttons at the top don’t do anything

This is how it’s done!

Kudos to this developer and a great app so far! I wish for long press options though, where you can just long press and play, or queue, etc.
And there is no add to queue from albums at all, just Play. Sometimes people do t want to go track by track to create a queue.
The mini music player is permanently stuck to the bottom taking screen space. Sorting filters never work. Nice loadout, but a buggy buggy mess.

Best Jellyfin client app

I’m very impressed with this app. Even in its development phase, it looks highly professional, feels premium, and is already super stable with very few quirks.
The fact that it’s open-source is a massive plus, and I am incredibly excited about the roadmap, especially upcoming support for Apple TV and other platforms. Huge props to the developers, keep up the amazing work!

Quick connect

Quick connect doesn’t work on both ios and apple tv. Please fix it

Awesome

I never review anything but I love this app. Works really well, clean.

fantastic app

wow seeing PiP added was such a pleasant surprise. this client feels complete to me now :) great UX

Unusable and buggy

Literally crashes every time I use the app. Every time I click the request button it crashes. No way to resolve and insane this hasn’t been fixed after months

Nearly ideal

I like the app when I am connected and using it. However it would be really helpful if they added a feature for the server to change url when connecting externally. That way you could use it with your Tailscale network without having to log out and back in.

Great Potential!

App looks great…Wish we could remove the unplayed purple triangle from the top of ‘Next Up’ episodes, though? Also be able to view not only by poster but by thumb, banner etc. Hopefully this comes to tvOS in time! Thank you!

Love app, but new issue

Unable to play videos on iphone 13 pro latest version . Works on Android and native Jellyfin client but not streamify for iphone. Happened yesterday out of the blue, was working then wasn't. Rebooted phone, even hard reboot. Reinstalled app and still. must be a new update. Using Android since working flawlessly.
