Not a bad estimate
“Muzzle velocity comes from a gas-expansion energy equation built on the case's expansion ratio, and peak chamber pressure from the Noble-Abel equation of state; the per-powder coefficients are fitted offline against published load data and shipped with the app, so it computes on your device rather than looking anything up.”
Response from developer
Thanks for the detail. The affiliation point is right and worth stating plainly: this app is not connected to, or endorsed by, the QuickLOAD software, and it was renamed to Strelok Internal Ballistics for exactly that reason. On the engine, though - it is not interpolation between published loads. Muzzle velocity comes from a gas-expansion energy equation built on the case's expansion ratio, and peak chamber pressure from the Noble-Abel equation of state; the per-powder coefficients are fitted offline against published load data and shipped with the app, so it computes on your device rather than looking anything up. What it is not is a time-resolved burn simulation, and I would not claim otherwise. If you have a load where it predicts badly against your chronograph, send it to feedback@strelokpro.com - that is genuinely the most useful thing I could receive. - Kamil

Thank you. If there is a powder, cartridge or bullet you would like added, or a load where the prediction does not match what your chronograph says, feedback@strelokpro.com comes straight to me. - Kamil
