And yes, you’re absolutely right about Bluetooth, wired headphones are the best option for recording due that technology's inherent latency, so it sounds like you’ve got a great setup there. EXCEPTIONAL Music Recording App!!
As a singer/songwriter myself, I have been using this recording app religiously, since at least 2010, and to-date, I have not found another studio app that can even touch what Otreus has done here with StudioMini.
It is truly one of a kind; created by two brilliant friends that share a passion for music, and most importantly, a genuine desire to create a platform for other’s to create, record, and mix a studio-quality production. This app truly gives you the tools, *at your fingertips*, to take what’s been in your mind, and turn it into a masterpiece. The quality is remarkable, and this app only continues to improve and surpass expectations when it comes to mobile recording. It allows you to seamlessly play every role in the production process; you are your own audio engineer. It’s designed purely with the user in mind..
What sets this app & company apart from the rest, is their outstanding customer service. These guys went above and beyond to help solve the issue I was having, as well as, welcomed suggestions. They had a quick response time, almost immediate solution, and made me feel involved in that process every step of the way. That speaks volumes..
All this to say.. Otreus wasn’t playin’ games when they created this one. This is the real deal, guess you just gotta find out! 🎧🎙️💿

Imagine buying a microwave, and 5 years later the company comes to you and says.... You know, 5 years ago we didn't charge you enough because we're idiots, so if you want to keep using your microwave you already paid for 5 years ago, we're going to need another $100 out of you. LoL
Whoever gave you guys that advice deserves to be punched and fired. I look forward to watching this app fail and go out of business. Thieves.

Update from June 24, 2025 Hi again Aeroxino, I'm following up with some good news for you — we just released StudioMini 3.3, which gives our longtime customers the ability to keep using the older features without upgrading for full access. We ultimately hope that we can bring you enough new value to consider supporting StudioMini's ongoing development, but if you choose not to, that's ok, you can keep using the classic StudioMini 2 features. Thank you for being with us since the early days, we truly appreciate that, and apologize for any frustration the transition to StudioMini 3 caused. Stolen Studio $$
I purchased this app a few years ago for its ability to offer some reasonable on the go recording options.
Imagine my surprise upon finding out my one time purchase had been changed to a monthly subscription application and I only had a certain number of uses left.
Suffice to say the kind and beautifully assembled song and dance I received from Mr. Smith in customer support was nothing short of hyperbole at its finest and far too long for me to include here.
They want more of my money and didn’t consider offering a refund. Instead they offered a few more uses as a gift.
I say skip it. It seems as though
they hate customers who originally bought their product.
Due to their poor business model they decided to just steal customers money and say we need more.

And thank you for your honest reaction to one of the biggest updates and changes we’ve ever made with the release of StudioMini 3. We released StudioMini back in 2009, 16 years ago. For a single payment of less than a coffee drink, our users got to use StudioMini, but also received free updates, free improvements & fixes, and free new features, for well over a decade. Over time unfortunately it became more and more clear that this was just not sustainable financially. I'm not talking about making a living creating software for our fellow musicians, I'm talking about being able to support it at all. Before StudioMini 3, we hadn't been able to release an update for many years because of this reason. We never stopped hearing from our users around the world about what they would like added. We truly wanted to develop new useful features for our users and to keep supporting StudioMini, but we were faced with some difficult decisions on how to do that. Regardless of what you choose to do moving forward, I want to highlight that StudioMini 3 now makes it very easy to export your Projects. You can export all your Projects and WAV files to any storage connected through Apple's Files (Dropbox, Google Drive etc.). You don't have to be a paying customer to export, this is always available and free, your music will never be locked in. StudioMini 3 also includes our all-time most requested features: Auto Punch, Bluetooth support, Panning, Loops Speed Control, Stereo recording, as well as major improvements to Mixing, Sharing, Importing and Exporting, and more.
