The app doesn’t sync

I had the animo for a year, I have changed the battery once. Since this morning the data of the app doesn’t load. It looks like I lost a year worth of my dog data. I have contacted the support but I haven’t received any answers/solutions

Don’t bother

I’m happy I didn’t pay for this tracker, simply put it doesn’t work. There is an issue with the app that doesn’t allow you to get past the initial sign up. Very frustrating.

Buena app. Atención al cliente muy buena. Le pongo 4 estrellas porque para 5 le falta poder incluir widget en el iPhone y también poder tener la app en el Apple Watch.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money buying the hub, it’s constantly offline so doesn’t give an accurate reading of when the cats are inside. It’s constantly logging me out so the only way I know when the batteries need replacing are on the catdoor, not the hub/app. I wouldn’t have brought this expensive setup had I known it doesn’t do what it promised to do. I would suggest doing your research in finding another supplier/catdoor system.

Update renders it useless

I've been really enjoying this product and app but the update following iOS 17.6 being released means the app is blank and shows no data. Such a fundamental thing should be checked before an update is rolled out as currently this is making the tracker a useless plastic puck on the dogs collar.

Not happy

Let’s start out by saying I am a employee of a vet hospital that a representative came out and pushed for us to sell their item. Myself and many of the staff members purchased trackers.

I bought four. One for each of my dogs. I had reached out a few months ago about one of the trackers not showing the correct location of my dog. It still showed her in a safe zone, just not the correct safe zone. She goes to my parents house while I work and she showed all day at my house.

I never heard back from the customer support email I sent. I ended up having to disconnect and reconnect it several times before it finally synched.

It has been hit and miss trying to get this thing to synch in general. It still shows me my dog is in the wrong house at times.

Now I have a coworkers dog who had this tracker on who went missing. Tracker still shows the dog is at home. Will not track the missing dog. The family was able to get through to Surepet who wasn’t able to offer any solution.

I also tried to call surepet as one out of my 4 was showing once again my dog in the wrong location. I waited on hold over 30 minutes without a person answering.

I decided to try a different route and call Merk (the company who owns surepet) veterinary line.

I was able to get through to a person there, explained we had a missing dog with their tracker that was not tracking and another dog was wasn’t missing but was showing the wrong location, this rep also tried to reach out to surepet couldn’t get through, so she then reached out to her manager who never responded. I was told they would call me back.

No return call was ever received. My dogs collar did finally show the correct location but not until after I synched it. What use is that if my dog is missing I cannot synch her tracker.

Needles to say I will no longer be promoting this item that they made sound so amazing to us.

So far unhappy

I work at a vet hospital who had a rep talk this device up. Ordered 4, one for each of my dogs.

Within two weeks one is now already telling me unable to connect. It also frequently tells me that one or two are unable to synch. And it also will tell me the dog sitting next to me is down the road at my parents house when we left there hours ago.

Peace of Mind

I have had this GPS tracker for over a year now. It works great. The app interface shows you exactly where your dog is. We travel and do have to charge it more often because of that but the map shows where my dog is at all times. When we are home and in the zone….the unit goes weeks without needing to be charged. By the way my dog loves the ocean and our pool….the water resistance is great.
Don’t hesitate to buy, plus now there is no subscription fee to use the tracking service. Fantastic!

Unhappy

After persevering for over a year now with the app going through upgrades it’s still very clunky. Quite often the app either freezes, so we have to restart the phone or reinstall the app again, and yes we have the latest software versions… Not ideal if you’re away and want to monitor what the pets are up too.
I’ve also had an issue with the router freezing. Customer services after a few weeks (over a month) several emails and call sent me a replacement router, I was ignored initially. For what it is, it’s a great idea, the software just isn’t 100% reliable, so I have NO confidence it’ll work when I’m away.

Terrible

This is crap. Never syncs. Unreliable.

This suck!

The sync won’t work, then it wouldn’t let us log in, and everything is super lagged. Now nothing seems to be working. Got it today.

Muy buena app y dispositivo pero mejorable

Nos encanta la app y el dispositivo , podríais añadir en la app un apartado de control de peso donde apuntar los pesos del perro y mostrarlo en forma de gráfica ,un apartado para recordar vacunación y desparasitar.Sería la bomba

Newest update broke it

Have not been able to sync my pet’s Animo since the most recent update (iPhone 7, IOS 15.4.1). App is trying to say that my Animo belongs to another household and pressing the sync button does not work.

Not working

Not letting get passed the create household feature. Nothing happens when I click create.

Disappointed

Sync doesn’t work properly. Have to be next to the tracker to sync, which isn’t helpful when I’m at work and want to check on my dog who is home alone. Wouldn’t purchase one, glad we won it as a prize from the vet, if it keeps having issues I won’t leave it on my dog’s collar. It can see out its life buried in a drawer somewhere.

Love the data

I am enjoying the app, it’s been really useful to monitor my puppies activity, to check if he really was sleeping through the night, and making sure he is getting enough rest/activity throughout the day.

I would definitely recommend, it’s been surprising to find out what he gets up to on his own, or with other people!

I have a couple suggestions for improving this further to make it 5 stars:
- it would be great to have some comparison against the average or recommended norm for his breed and age
- allow swapping between days while viewing the graphs
- the graph scales are slightly confusing, for instance on the activity graph I would like to be able to select a column and see exactly how long he was active for during each hour
- I would like to click on the today’s intensity graph to enlarge, like all the other data sets

Seems pretty good so far.

Would like to see nz heading dog and huntaway added as breed options

Also, when putting in sleep cycle, earliest option available is 10pm - which is way later than when we go to be (3am being our wake up time) not sure how this will affect the overall assessment of my dogs sleep patterns?

App not working.

The app is unreliable and doesn’t always sync when it’s said it synced.

System bug

I sent an invite code to my dad but he is stuck in step up and unable to enter the code. Set up says the Animo is already in use.

J’ai le boitier depuis qq mois maintenant.
Et si je trouve que l’appli est tres bien faite, les synchros se font bien et les informations sont intéressantes je trouve neanmoins qu’il manque des fonctions super intéressante comme la vitesse ( notamment de pointe! Toujours chouette de savoir à quelle vitesse son chien peut courir) et au lieu de mettre le nombre de calorie cela aurait plus interessant de connaître la distance parcourue...
Si cela pouvait être revu lors de vos améliorations!
