Ridiculous
I’m tired of having to jump through hoops every time I want to use my card for a qualified expense and when I fail to do so, my card is locked out and I’m unable to use MY money. On top of that, over the counter, qualified FSA items mind you, are rejected during check out more times than not. This company is a joke and I wouldn’t doubt if they do not receive some sort of kick back at the end of the year when there’s unused money left over from all of the locked out cards. If I could rate them less than 1 star, I would have done so.

Terrible company, annoying app
This company will make you jump through every possible hoop to get/use your FSA funds - and then some. In nearly 20 years I’ve never dealt with the issues I have dealt with this company in just the last 3 months.
Also, the app is annoying - it refreshes if you take a call or do anything on your phone outside the app (a call or text, to check your documentation, or anything else, even for a second), even when you’re in the middle of submitting their 100 pieces of documentation for repayment, effectively kicking you back to the beginning and having to start completely over.

Surency sucks
I’ve had other hsa type accounts and this is the worst one I’ve ever had! Slow to process claims and strict on how they are submitted. I literally have to call customer service and wait on hold EVERY time I need a claim processed. It’s ridiculous!

Needs User Friendly Updates
This app needs user friendly updates. It requires receipts to be uploaded but if you move out of the app for any reason - to view dates on your receipts or if you cannot find it in your documents, it makes you log back in and start over. There’s no time delay at all, meaning you get logged out even if you leave for a second. It’s frustrating and not very user friendly

Surency flex is awful
So this app is horrible. You give them the information. Send them a receipt and they transpose numbers and deny the claim. So at the end of the year you are scrambling to call them and get a correction and big surprise no one answers the phone.

If you are going to require funds be spent by 12/31, then your organization should be open on 12/31 to assist people having trouble accessing their funds that you control. I will essentially be robbed because I have no recourse to access my money.
Healthcare mess
On the app, yearly contributions are separated, but when I try to spend the remaining dollars for a previous year the money is taken out of the current year! The balance can NEVER be spent under this system designed to rob subscribers of money!! Twice this has occurred! Fix it!!

Perhaps it's the process, but the app is not helpful when there is an error on dates. Surency also makes it extremely difficult to withdraw funds.
Antiquated Application
This application is difficult to navigate and needs to be updated for 2025. The review process is slow as well, just wish things looked better and happened faster
