If, as quoted "about 5 million people" have chosen to try this method..... then why can I see no other reviews?
It takes children several years to acquire a language by this method, so to state 'a month' is a tad optimistic.

Poor quality control
I purchased this for my daughter. The pictures and words don't always match (in addition there are some really odd and inappropriate pictures linked to some words). The app has potential to be really good-but they seem to have messed up on quality control for this version.

Wasn't too bad until it stopped talking to me...
I admit that I have managed to learn some Swedish through this app and would have given it 3 or 4 stars had it continued to work. The point and repeat back style does work. I would say that some of the pictures are a somewhat ambiguous and I had to check with Swedish friends what they meant. I just tried to get stuck into more lessons today but there's suddenly no audio (yes, it is switched on, and I checked iTunes that it was the app and not my iPad ). It just seems like overnight I can no longer listen to the native speakers, rendering this pretty much useless for me. It's a real shame and very disappointing as I am visiting Sweden on Thursday and had really wanted to be able to say a bit more than 'yellow JCB' and 'pink dress'. :(
**Update: I have updated this to 4 stars as I think I have worked out the issue with the lack of sound - I think if your iPad has the ringer turned off, then the app won't speak, regardless of whether the in-app settings are on. Now I have my sound back I am a happier bunny.**

App not working on iPad since iOS7 update
The app freezes after reading the first card in the lesson. This appears to have started after the upgrade to iOS 7.
