Going from $20 for the app when I first saw it to it being $20/yr is very hard to justify. I don’t really care about the seven days free that they now provide when the jump is so exponential. Disappointing that instead of prioritizing this being accessible to more people it’s now even less so.
Switched to subscription based
I loved this app and recommended it to all my friends! It was a $20 one time purchase and now I can’t access it due to it switching to a subscription service $20/yr. Such a shame :/

Staple for TRUE Healthy Living
This app is hands down the most important app I’ve ever downloaded. Not only does it give you the ability to scan products to determine if they contain any toxic ingredients, but it also provides you with the research behind any proven or possible toxicity in ingredients. Unbelievably easy to use — an essential daily tool for healthy living and limiting toxin exposure. Would give 50/5 stars if I could.

You 100% need
To say I love this app is an understatement. This is WAY better than any app I have tried. I love that it simply reads the ingredients and let’s you see research about the toxic ones. It doesn’t just hand out a rating. It’s informative and gives great alternative options. My favorite feature is being able to either take a photo or upload a screenshot. Much easier to look up a product than any other app like this.

I have been using this app for maybe two years and love it. No silly score system like other apps. You just scan a picture of the ingredients and it tells you what it finds that could be a bad ingredient. You can then click on each ingredient, get a summary and even links to articles on why it might be bad. From possible contamination with toxic ingredients because of the manufacturing process to being a possible carcinogen and more. Just make sure to get a good picture since rounded text like on some bottles can’t be read by the scanner. It’s best to go to the product page online and take a screenshot of the ingredients. I find this the easiest way to scan.
Manufacturers can change ingredients at the drop of a hat and by scanning the ingredients versus relying on a score on some website I feel more confident than I’m able to find clean products using this app.

They charged my account randomly after I deleted the app and I didn’t even buy anything from the app
Please go back to the old version!!
Loved this app until the recent update. If you don't give the app full permission to photos, you have to close the app and reopen to get the "select more photos" option again OR toggle back and forth between settings to add more photos. Making it a colossal pain when trying to check multiple items online or in store. I rarely use this app anymore because of the update :( please go back to the previous layout/selection method!

Really hate the recent app update
Love the product but HATE the recent app update. If you don’t give full permission to all photos, it is very clunky and hard to use. I would never give any app full permission to photos/location, etc. and this update is extremely disappointing. Makes it very hard to use. Please go back to the older version!

I’m in LOVE!
I love when something is user friendly and does what it says it’s supposed to do! The SN app is just that! It’s super easy to use AND it helps me make informed decisions on what ingredients I want to be exposed to! I love that it’s not a generic scale that could be biased, but it is actual facts with studies to show the data! Then I can decide if an ingredient or formula is worth it to me or not. This puts the information in the consumers’ hands and isn’t a “bought out” app that tells you what is “clean” or not. I love that it’s all about providing information for the consumer to make the decision, but there is also a link dolly website that takes the guesswork away if you just want a recommendation.

Worth it!!
This is one of the only apps on the market, where the person behind the app does not get paid by companies to say whether or not a product is good or bad. For me it is all about the ingredients. I want clean ingredients that are going to be beneficial for my health in the long run. So thankful for this app!

Helpful but glitches often
I do find this app helpful when deciding which hygiene products to buy, but it constantly freezes and crashes! I think it works best when you take a screen shot of something you want to buy online and scan vs scanning labels in store since it glitches/closes automatically all the time. I get so frustrated repeatedly trying to scan items at the store before it just closes out, I’ve stopped trying. It still does it with screen shots too but I have more time at home to try it 3 or 4 times. I’m disappointed that I spent $20 on this app to help me choose products at the store but I still have to do other research ahead of time since I don’t know if this will work or not. I do wonder if other people have the same issue (I have an iPhone and do auto updates).
