Overall very fun

The game is very attention grabbing at first and holds onto your attention for a good while. But if you’re a solo player then it works out fine. You can spend more time and effort into solo builds that’ll get you far enough. But in terms of team building and planning. The game is lacking, I am willing to spend money to purchase a sever transfer ticket, but the game has yet to offer the chance. As far as end game goes, having to play with others becomes the number one way to progress. With more and more of my friends joining the game as well and not being able to join my sever or switch to it, let alone me being able to transfer to theirs just halts a lot of my enjoyment. Having to restart the game entirely on a new server just defeats the purpose of making purchases as well, I’m not going to spend more money on a second account when I’ve progressed so much on my actual character. PLEASE ADD SERVER TRANSFER IF NOT AT LEAST A TICKET FOR IT

Was really enjoying the game til it stopped letting me log in and customer support wasn’t really helpful

LOCKED OUT OF MY LEVEL 53 CHARACTER.

I really enjoy playing Sword X Staff, but I’m honestly frustrated right now.

I worked hard to reach around level 52–53 on my original server, only to find out I can’t access it anymore because it was closed due to having too many players. That doesn’t feel fair to players who spent so much time progressing.

I’m not upset that the game is popular—I’m upset that I lost access to the character I put so much effort into. All I want is to be able to log back into my original server and continue playing my level 53 character.

Please look into this and consider a solution for players who were affected. Thank you.

A decent game with a bunch of fake ads

If you want to play this game because of the ads you will be disappointed. They are all either false advertising or exaggerated gameplay. The developers even try to sell you the game using attractive anime girls but spend little effort on the in games graphics or character design.

The actual gameplay is you picking either sword or staff at the beginning and then upgrading down one of two paths for that weapon later. Swords get an aggressive dps class or a tanking class. Staffs get a nuking dps class or a healer class with some darkness and small pet summon abilities.

Unfortunately almost nobody plays the tank or healer class because the dps classes are so much more fun and flashy. It really makes the increasingly more difficult multiplayer experience also increasingly frustrating. The support classes definitely need a buff and more interesting skills. The developers even punish you for the poor balancing by forcing increasingly long queues wait times on you if you don’t want to waste time going into a dungeon with an unbalanced team that is guaranteed to fail.

The main aspect of the game is going through an area where your progress is blocked by mobs of higher and higher power levels. There are also plenty of side areas sealed because you need items you buy from the area merchants for currency exclusive to that area. You get that currency very slowly so it takes so much longer to 100% an area than just being powerful enough to beat all the enemies.

The rpg strategy part of the game is making a “build” of four active skills and four passive. A lot of the skills for the classes are pretty unbalanced as well and everyone ends up with the same builds. That’s especially true for the support classes. If you play the healer class you are stuck playing a support build or darkness which is mostly dots and debuffs. The summon pets fall off and you get no new elemental skills after the basic mage path branches. Older skills don’t scale very well and become nearly unusable unless they have a bonus side effect to them. There are a not a lot of viable combat options. The tank class isn’t much better and is horrible to play in single player content because of its mediocre damage.

The actual combat is automatic or afk as it’s called. You just pick one of your saved builds and the game does the rest. Raid bosses have a team of 6 players and dungeons have a team of 4. Best case scenario you end up with a team of balanced classes. There is also manual party recruitment via chat if you aren’t in a hurry. The game does have npc fighters called companions you meet during the story that can help you in combat sometimes. Dungeon runs could be easier if you could pick one to fill the roll of a class you need as they scale pretty well. The computer does a pretty good job making decisions but sometimes makes stupid ones. For example it will bunch your party up to get hit by a powerful aoe attack from a boss.

You are able to switch to the other branch of your weapon but you get a message saying skills from the other branch are not compatible and can’t play any unique or hybrid class builds. For example if you play the tank class paladin and switch to the berserker class which is the dps class you will be unable to use paladin or the previous class in that tree knights skills. You can only use berserker skills or the previous class duelist skills. Both branches can use the base class skills before it divides into dps or support.

Finally there are pets you equip that have an extra skill. They get better once you get them to turn into an adult form and get more than one skill. However the developers made that as much trouble as possible. You even have to get to the fourth area which takes months to unlock because it’s hidden behind time locked “seasons”.

That’s everything you need to know about this game. It’s a good game if you want something easy or casual to play. However I think it’s obvious balance issues worsen the experience considerably. One thing I will say about the game is that it’s pretty f2p friendly. The only thing out of reach for people not spending money is costumes. A lot of the events with costumes are pay to win though with very limited draw chances unless you buy more for real money. If you don’t care about that then it’s not much of a downside. There are also no in game ads either so that’s definitely a positive thing.

nothing like the ads and no open world

there’s zero open world action and the ads are just weird but the only reason i even downloaded this was for the supposed 200 skills and custom classes which is in the game but the skills are not and i wanted to have a free roam but guess what? theres nothing

The most addicting noble game I’ve ever play highly recommend

I’ve been tricked!

So lately for this game I got a life of ads showing that this game is a 3d rpg make your own character game. It immediately peeked my interest because I play a lot of gacha games but never really got to make my own gacha game character with customization. So imagine my surprise when I find out this game is just a simple 2d gacha coni game. Which there is nothing wrong with, I actually really like chibi cozy gacha games. It’s just that the ad was very misleading, especially since I kept getting it from other apps. Please do not be tricked by the ads like me. But other than that I will say though this game is very fun and cute, and I would have given it a 5 star review if I weren’t mislead.

Sword X Staff

When I first saw the add I thought oh this might be another boring game but I decided to try it out and I do not regret it! This game is much fun and very addicting,I lost track of time.I will be telling all my friends about this game ❤️

Obvious P2W

Typical P2W scheme. You can progress and a typical rate or spend money and progress at an accelerated rate giving you access to dungeons and better gear sooner. There is a time limit on how much you can progress daily based on their waiting cycle. If you wanna be competitive you better have deep pockets. This games seems to be just fishing for whales.

Was now wasn’t

The game was fun since day 1, until almost everything later on feels pay to win, we have people that are in the 15millions, while F2P are in like the 3 to 5millions, got to the point where this game isn’t fun anymore, maybe they will fix this, maybe not, I mean every few hours a price thing pops up, I feel 85% of this game is P2W, and it’s not actually fair to the players that play the game without spending money, the ads are even worse, level 1, then in a few days level 100, with op gear, this fact isn’t true unless you bought everything with money, so ya I’m done with this game.

I missed the konosuba update

Anyways this is different than other games, you dont have to pay for stuff to be good, f2p players can be on top of the leaderboard, the Luotianyi collab rn is good but as a f2p i wasnt lucky enough to get Luotianyi. The game itself is very fun and enjoyable no need to spend a tons of time in the game.
