• Fluency, followed over time: a chart of words per minute, a school-standard words-correct-per-minute score, and reader profiles so each child gets their own history. • One-tap PDF progress reports to share with a teacher, and CSV export of the whole history. • Read in many languages: pick any supported reading language; on-device recognition stays the rule for every language with a local model. Languages without one (Hebrew, for example) can use Apple's online speech service, strictly opt-in, off by default, with results at the end of the session. • Right-to-left texts, such as Hebrew, are laid out in their own direction as the child reads along. • A passage library: keep your reading texts in named collections, each tied to a reader if you like, with a difficulty level worked out from the text itself so you can pick something at the right level. A few public-domain passages are included to start. • Siri & Shortcuts, on iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch: "start a reading session", "how was the last reading", "how much reading today". • Picking a reading language is reliable again, including the languages that need Apple's online service. • Apple Watch settings now match iPhone and Mac. sophe@lewiner.org.
