Some lacunae’s but good

Sometimes stops without explanation but otherwise reads garmin workouts pretty seamlessly

Excellent

This app is superb, it covers everything from easy level 2 rambles where you can admire the beauty of the countryside to mad sessions with pro. Teams and as many other riders as you want, you can easily make up any group ride if you’re in the mood for company and with real world videos ride anywhere in the world and challenge yourself to epic tour climbing (if you have the legs) in a word EPIC!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Brilliant offering so many opportunities

Very annoying indeed

I have been using this app for many many years and it was perfect in every way until Garmin took over. What a disaster. Why have they tried to fix something that was absolutely fine? I’ve updated this app several times this year and it gets worse and worse at every update. Yesterday’s update was appalling! These three stupid three dots appeared recently that you had to press to stop your session which is stupid as the earlier app had a stop button on the screen you were looking at - perfect but now I have to fiddle with these tiny dots but go going back to yesterday’s update these three dots now open a settings screen and I have no clue how to stop a session I mean how stupid is that! I’m really annoyed by these recent changes. How can I get the version from six months ago that was perfect! If the developer actually used the app perhaps they would see how dreadful their changes have made this app. My only solace is that as I’m old I’ll be dead soon and will no longer be frustrated by this. Yes I know this is a first world problem but it’s so unnecessary. I also notice the same response to every review so obviously nobody is reading any bad reviews because it’s obvious that many people are unhappy and yet every update is worse than before. Why am I even spending time doing this?

Power training manual mode

Even though I do not have a smart turbo trainer and rely on a speed and cadence sensor, it works great for those that are happy to create their own plans. Simply to connect and gathers enough data including heart rate to monitor training progress

The updates SUCK

The updates make this app very difficult to use - the font is VERY small (a lot of unused screen space) and it’s difficult to exit your workout (need one button to press V’s a drop down option. Do they actually use this, how can they not see these issues.

Ellipsis too close to training settings

When using an iPhone, It is very, very difficult to stop the session without touching the training settings.

Display

Focus on just the numbers. Imagine your HR IS 170+ and you are trying to read it. Also—make it easier to decelerate from an interval.

Tacx Training App

I like the app and like the larger graphic screen but real time distance has stopped working since the latest update. All other parameters work real time and final distance, when saving workout, is working showing anticipated distance so ‘it know’ the distance but doesn’t show the distance correctly real time thanks

Frustrated

Pairs well with the trainer but the app shutdown mid workout and then couldn’t restart the ride. Need to be able to pick up and restart the workout

Great APP

Worth every cent

Much improved

The new user interface and the ability to auto-continue nearby rides is a welcome addition. The new layout for custom made (non-video) workouts is also much improved over the last version

Terrible UI update

Please go back to the old one. This is the worst UI you have come with. Or just let us customize. Who is actually taking care of this iniciative in Garmin? Jesus. Please fix this guys. You have A LOT of input from the community already in your forums, support and even reddit. I dont need to give the same details of why this UI is horrible. Anyone can see.

What’s going on

I cannot save my workout ??? Second time in a row

Data and Accuracy is NOT accurate

I try to ride exclusively outdoors but certain times it’s just not possible. I have several frustrations with the app but these 3 alone make it not worth having.

Performance accuracy: I have 2 bikes I connect and both have skewed data when doing rides with the app. The accuracy of output watts and hills do my compare to accurate effort. Outdoors with my Ralley pedals and Garmin 1030, I never drop below 17mph on anything under a 5% incline. In the app a 3% incline seems to translate to a 8-9% incline. It’s totally inaccurate and frustrating.

Multiple rides: I’m not a fan of ZWIFT but at least you can just ride and accumulate distance non-stop. Most Tacx rides are only 20 miles long and unless they are in a challenge there’s no way to string them together so if you plan to do a 60-80 mile ride you’ll have to log 4 seperate rides. The results are not accurate because it’s looking at multiple rides vs 1 sustained effort.

Garmin Points: Even if you use your $1000+ TacX trainer and ride using Zwift or Rouvy, Garmin doesn’t give you credit for the ride or towards badges. You have to use their 1990s data integrated TacX app as well.

I have Garmin watches, bike computers, bike lights, bike radars and Ralley pedals and I’m about to get rid of it all because Garmin won’t upgrade the TacX app to make it usable.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for your positive feedback. We hope that you keep riding with Tacx!

Small display

Active workout display arrangement is now smaller- can’t see it without eyeglasses

Vibe coded slop

This app has so many bugs I don’t even know where to begin. It use to be serviceable and now it’s just a nightmare.
