Very Limited Scheduling Options
It seems like a no-brainer for an app that controls shades to adjust seasonally as the sun moves higher or lower in the sky. But the app doesn’t do that. It doesn’t even adjust when the time changes.
Open/Closed
You can not tell if the blinds are open or closed from the ap. You should be able to open them partially and see the results on the ap.
About time
Second Sunsetter. While having the first I had some wishlist for if I ever get a new one.

Absolute garbage
I am unable to give zero stars. The app actually deserves less. I have spent more time staring at an updating spinner screen than use the app since I’ve had it. There is no way to circumvent it because the app goes into automatic update mode, even though I never said it. And when I do get out of the updating spinner controls on the app for my rollers, don’t ever work they show their own spinners. Moreover, there won’t be solution I have for this on the company troubleshooting page to reinstall the app which I’ve done about 20 times and I only had these rulers for three days. Please do something about this piece of crap.

Just not good
My blinds were pretty much working fine for a while. Aside from a glitch here and there, everything seemed to be ok. Now the app is completely useless. The blinds for no reason just stopped running the scheduled routine. I reset my TaHoma hub. App still doesn’t respond. All of my remotes control the respective blinds but I need control of scheduled routines and to control the blinds when I’m away. I’ve tried re-pairing the app with the remotes and nothing. Customer service just sends you to a page where you have to try to find an arbitrary topic. Somfy needs to streamline the setup and operation processes, check out competitors in the space, and upgrade to 2024 standards.

Negative feedback
I'm in the software business and this is one of the worst software tools I've ever seen. It constantly updates and takes a ton of time. There seems to be multiple versions out there. It's flaky and doesn't save changes. I'm shocked at how companies like Sonos can do things so much better and no one has disrupted this industry.

Horrible app
I will never use somfy again. App forces me to log in EVERY TIME I OPEN IT and freezes 50% of the time so I have to force close and reopen. I can’t wait 1 min every time I want to open/close my shades. This company needs to hire some real engineers. DO NOT go with somfy/tahoma.
Would be nice if it’s kept up
With amount of money spent on the blinds with somfy motors, the app is very buggy. Constantly freezing when opening app. Also, consider adding HomeKit/homebridge support
Poor poor performance
This app has the potential to be a great product for home integration. Unfortunately it makes me wish the home I am renting had some other platform besides TaHoma. When I build, this product will not be in my house. The app never stays signed in. It tries to update and never finishes; forcing me to quit and restart every time. The controls are not easy to understand and half the time clicks don’t even work. I have tried multiple times to set blinds to open halfway and it never works. Overall, the app needs to be rebuilt.

I have a 20k$ motorized blind set up and my curtain just stop going up and down ( doesn't work ) im wondering if an update on that motorized sun shade blind is available 🙏

Garbage App
Impossible to set up on the iPhone. The app uses the wrong camera when scanning a QR code (won’t focus correctly) and adding devices (remotes) simply doesn’t work due, again, to this issue. When given the option to add the device another way the steps lead nowhere.
Somfy remote control

Next to zero explanation on how to set up remotes through phone. And once you stumble onto how to do it, the tower is such a weak transmitter, it does not even work on controlling the shades in my pergola 10 feet away.
The idea was to have the Somfy transmitter inside the house and away from the elements. Now I find that I have to place this Somfy
tower inside the pergola with the elements to make it work! Useless product.

App Very Slow and Doesn’t Integrate Well
The app is very difficult to organize, and if you look away from it for more than a moment, it has to restart, which takes quite a bit of time for an app that should be the simple. Further, the app does not integrate well with other Smart Home systems, or at least not with the restaurant system that we have in our home.it is better than nothing, but could use a lot of improvement.

Disappointed but could be great
Yes, this app will open and close your blinds, drapes, shutters but you can’t look at the symbol showing the shade/curtain/shutter to see if it is open or closed. Why??? I have 7 shutters. I want to know for sure if they are fully closed or opened when I’m not home. It should be so easy for tech to show the symbol closed or open or half way opened, etc…. I dont open all of them every day so if I leave and remember that I want to close them the. I can to do it 7 times. It’s annoying! Please help update this minor improvement.

Software is unintuitive
For such a simple function, this software makes bling opening and closing a pain

The app should have a visual so when the blinds are moving you can see what position they are in.
