Tandem Pay
Working for tandem is bad at all most of the centers that I go to have nice staff and the shifts run smoothly, my only issue is tandem pay. They upload your money to a card that’s pretty much accepted no where but inside stores. I went out to dinner and couldn’t even pay for my food but the card wouldn’t go through even tho the money was on there.

Needs Communication Work!!
Very Convenient Job. Love Fact You Can Pick Up W’e. Besides That, Working With Company For Years Communication Was Never Best. There Is No Number To Call For Situations, No Customer Service Number, No 24/7 Agent, Nor Proper Email Support. In App A Robot Talks To You, NEVER A Live Person. That Is Not Fortunate. Biggest Issue. A Company Not Having Proper Support. As Far As Company, Placements And Earnings Not Such A Problem.

Doesn’t value workers
This app is great as long as you don’t get sick, aren’t grieving, and don’t have life happening outside of picking up shifts! There’s no real person (support team is basically A.I) to talk to and they do not actually care why you need to cancel a shift. Their point system is unfair. (Plus many other issues) I was on here for a year and I honestly would not recommend. Do not waste your time.

been working on tandem for 2 years now. fantastic concept of an app. it is flexible with my schedule, after a shift, pay is always good and on time, centers and their teams are almost always wonderful to work at. giving this app a one star because of my recent problems with communication. There is no number for you to contact, the only way to reach them is through a chatbot or a tandem support email that only responds to you during business hours (m-f : 8-5) and even if you send them an email during this time period often times they will not respond. this app truly is great besides the terrible stress and frustration you WILL have to deal with when there is an inevitable issue, whether it is caused by you or them. (this goes for substitutes and centers)

MISSING PAY
I had $86 in my account and it just disappeared without any trace or explanation and I'm trying to get in contact with someone about and NOBODY HAS ANSWERED THE PHONE!!!

The concept is great
The concept of tandem is great, but the execution is NOT. I have booked shifts in the past and when I showed up to the center, they seemed confused. This has lowered my score, as I have to cancel the shift because the center doesn’t need a substitute. Another issue is the app glitches and takes away my credentials, making it look like I don’t even have a high school diploma. So when I go to apply for shifts, I’m denied for “not meeting the qualifications”. This issue has yet to be fixed. Another issue is that I only speak English. It would be great to know ahead of time that the center doesn’t have English speakers.

Great job for Daycare Workers
I’ve been working for Tandem for a while now and I can honestly say it a great job to have if you’re in between job. You fill out the application process do a background check and boom, you’re ready to start requesting for work sites at different Daycare centers area your city. It’s great because you can do the full time with a steady schedule or you can do it temporarily and still make money you need to manage your finances if needed. My favorite part was working with the kids I’m a mom of my own and it helped with a few extra expenses my son with same-day payments after clocking out for the day. I enjoyed working for Tandem a lot and will continue to be an employee

I am giving tandem a one star because of their communication. I have been working with tandem for the past few months and it was going great. I then encountered a problem where my account was frozen. Tandems business hours start at nine Monday through Friday and I texted them on Friday because thats the way to communicate with them is on a chat. Unfortunately they don’t have a phone number so I was waiting all day on Friday trying to get my account back up and they didn’t answer at all. I waited over the weekend and even sent an email hoping they would see it Monday morning. I then have been trying to text them all day today. Today is a Monday so they should be open. I have gotten no responses. My account still remains frozen and I am now missing out on two days worth of pay. I understand stuff like this happens where there can be glitches or any kind of technical issue or an account might accidentally be frozen, but what I don’t find acceptable is the fact that they’re not even communicating with me. They’re not messaging me back. There’s no phone number so I can’t talk to somebody. I have to rely on a chat and they’re not even replying so now my account has been frozen for the past five days and there’s nothing I can do about it and I’m missing out of money. It’s very disappointing and unacceptable that their support team is not helping their workers when it comes to issues with the app.
