What's New in TaperTracer

1.0.1

August 11, 2020

*Added a contact button under the profile section, where the user can contact the developer via email. *Bug Fixes - Fixed a bug where the severity was not shown when tracking a symptom - Calendar dates where showing under the incorrect days, this has been fixed. - Popup dialogue boxes with text have been moved to the top of the screen, as some smaller devices would hide the text and done buttons when the keyboard was open. - Severity slider box can no longer be swiped away (This made it hard to use the slider without accidentally dismissing the box) - Various bug fixes.

Frustrating

I need something like this, but find it extremely frustrating I cannot enter the taper schedule my doctor specified for me onto the calendar and can only use the one it is trying to calculate for me, which does not align with what my doctor has developed for me at all

Great concept but didnt quite work for me

I was having trouble keeping track of my taper off venlafaxine, the instructions I was given were very specific and it was getting hard for me to keep track of where I was in the process. I was excited to see there was an app addressing the problem but I didn’t end up keeping the app because it didn’t feel like it aligned with my dosage plan as prescribed, at least not in a way that was helpful.

In case the developer is interested in creating more options, I’ll give the specifics about my prescription. I started on 225mg of venlafaxine and was prescribed 37.5mg tablets for the taper. I was instructed:
-take 2 tablets in the morning and 3 tablets in the evening for 2 weeks
-decrease to 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening for 2 weeks
-decrease to 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening for 2 weeks
-1 tablet in the morning and 1 in the evening for 2 weeks
-1 tablet daily for 2 weeks, then stop

I would have benefited from an app that allowed me to be more specific about the # of pills to be taken, since I don’t think about it as much in terms of total dosage when I’m tapering. Being able to get specific about dosage at different times of day could be a helpful feature as well. Also, I believe the 37.5mg decreases are a 16% decrease which the app wouldn’t allow me to input.

Thank you for taking the time to make this app, I’m happy it exists even if it wasn’t right for me this time

Love the concept, cant hit enter on notes

Really like the UI and the attention paid to the problem, I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms and have had little to no guidance so its nice to this app. The only problem I’ve had so far is when typing anything in, theres no way to actually enter the text bc the keyboard blocks the enter button. Thanks!
