Despite several attempts it does not work. Very slow and not useful customer service. Not reliable as something that should be simple and secure!

Unnecessarily complicated
We have this lock system on our front door. It makes me want to use the garage door instead.
Best Smart Turn Ever!!
I’ve used quite a few different smart locks, well they are actually smart turns as the motor simply turns the key or the cylinder directly.
This app is easy to use. It’s well layed out and the initial setup is simple to follow.
The calibration process is manual. This is a huge benefit as it gives you the best control over your lock. You mark the exact position the bolt is at the fully extended position and then manually move it to find the exact open position. This gives you full control of the distance the motor needs to travel to lock and unlock the door. Much more energy efficient than the automatic calibration that makes the lock travel to both extremes.
The Auto Unlock feature is much more reliable than other manufacturers and it has a much higher success rate for me.
I also have the keypad pro so I can use my fingerprint to unlock the door should auto unlock take to long to connect or when I’m not leaving the exit geofence to trigger Auto Unlock
I use the HomeKit integration so I can control the lock remotely without the hub. I also use a third party door sensor via HomeKit to auto lock the door when the door closes.

Worst system ever
Not user friendly at all. Doesn’t store password on IOS. Have to manually enter email and password. Doesn’t show what you have entered. Any updates have to be done within blue tooth range. Can’t do it remotely. Half the time the codes to open sourcing work. Complete waste of money. Don’t buy it!
Handy app
Good usability overall. For keypad users, would be nice to be able to lock without long pressing the “checkmark” which takes too long — maybe a double or triple click? Also being able to set alerts for specific users, and not an all or none scenario as it currently is (ie: kids only, or contractors, etc). Overall, like the app and appreciate consistent updates.

Apple Watch limitation
As a mom I always have the watch on me but to open and close the door I need to be near it as it’s only Bluetooth and not wifi compatible. Extremely annoying and hope there’s a fix for that in place. One of the only apps that’s using close proximity Bluetooth and not wifi. Please fix on the next release!! Other moms on forums agree

Not recommended - lack of clear instructions
I do not recommend this product. I purchased the Tedee GO expecting an easy installation, but the instructions are unclear regarding which key sizes and configurations can be used.
When I received the product and tried to install it, I realized my key was slightly larger. Customer support advised me to cut my keys and even buy an additional adapter. What was supposed to be a quick and simple setup turned into a hassle, and I also had to pay for return shipping.
The website does not provide sufficient information about which keys are actually compatible. I ended up switching to a competitor’s product, which is much easier to use, works with all key types, and has clear instructions on the website.

Could be better
SHOULD HAVE AN OPTION FOR KEEPING THE PULL-SWING/ LATCH IN OPEN POSITION. Taking out the trash and coming back in shouldn’t require a pin code. Should have an option to leave and keep the door in the open/latch in/ open pull swing position for x amount of secs/mins or even indefinitely.
That feature ^ is being talked about lot in forums. Add it please!
Also, add the ability to unlock and lock on the Apple Watch using the wifi bridge and NOT just Bluetooth. People use Apple Watch the same as phones, shouldn’t be limited to just a few feet away.

Could be better
Battery: Had the unit since October and already at 60%. Open/close door 2-3 days a day, average is say.

Is the best smart lock out there? We have five children and two of the children have boyfriends so keys is a nightmare but having this tick all the boxes very strong secure smart lock will be definitely sudden it to my customers

Best solution out there
Elegant design, flawless operation. Our whole family is using the Tedee lock and is very satisfied. Much more so than a competitor’s automatic lock I installed at our summer home. Application is well designed, easy to use with all required functionalities. Highly recommend.
Too many notifications!!!!!
I’m fond of the app and the whole system but as soon as I unlock the door, myself it sends me a notification literally every minute telling me about my door that was unlocked over an hour ago! Every! Single! Minute! I’ve gotten over 100 notifications in the span of one hour. This can’t be ideal or realistic. I know I could just turn off notifications but I would like to know when my door is unlocked. Just not the same notification about the door being unlocked from ME over an hour ago.

Goood product, even more potential.
The product is good quality not hard to self install and will work reliably. For a smart lock there is so much more that can be done though, and hopefully more smart features are on their way, like:
- Push notification for the admin user when other users open or close the door.
- Notifications when door is left unlocked and when it’s unlocked during a timeframe (ex: business hrs)
- Homekit integration for automations, like turning lights on when unlocked etc.
