So much potential - almost there!
We use this app for our business and for the most part it does the meat & potatoes of what it’s supposed to. We also love that anyone on our team from across the globe can use the app and make calls & texts regardless of where they are! I use the desktop app on my Mac and it’s made my workflow so much faster.
Honestly, most of the glitches & dropped calls ppl experience on here is due to their cell phone coverage. This app purely uses data connect for all its services so it is a slave to how good your connection is.
Now, where this app needs improvement. Sometimes the texts say they haven’t gone through when they have. I REALLY wish they would implement the RCS technology. SMS in 2026 feels like using a fax machine. You can’t even send GIF’s lol. Media such as pictures or god forbid videos come out looking like it’s the stone ages.
Hopefully they continue to improve these features as the foundation of this is great!

So many failures
So many network failures. Will say it’s forwarded but it’s not. Always network errors that you can’t even sign out of the app. It has so many bugs.
Poor performance
App does not send notifications of calls or missed calls. I’ve missed calls from clients and don’t even see they have called until I look at the logs. This app does not work and the service is a waste of money.
Niveau sonore
Ça fonctionne bien. Le gros bobo est que le son est 40% plus faible que l'application de mon iphone. J'ai constaté aussi une difficulté de mon interlocuteur à bien entendre car le son est trop faible. Je dois parler beaucoup plus fort pour pouvoir tenir la conversation.
SMS?? Nope
Added with no success. You cannot text from the IOS computer app and while that seems to be status quo I cannot text from the phone either. This seems like low hanging fruit and despite an escalation a while ago I have not heard a single thing nor witnessed any fix within the app.
Drops calls constantly
Challenges using for business purposes, drops calls without warning, app shut down, texts display as if they did not send to recipient but do in fact go through
Calls come through when logged out of app
Been using app for 2 years and has been fine up until 2 months ago. Now when I log out and close the app, the calls still come through on my phone before disconnecting. Really frustrating.
Works When it Wants To
I’ve been using this app for just over two years for my small business. It “works”, but I find it generally buggy, and its performance is sporadic. I routinely have issues like notifications not coming in, or coming in duplicate or triplicate. Some features can only be changed in the account on a desktop internet browser, which is pretty inconvenient. I would use an alternative service if one was available.

Dropps calls all the time
The app drops call all the time. Mostly incoming. When a ticket was put in with Telus they just blamed it on the connection of the phone. Although the call duration was the same for ever call drop as well as the same amount of time it takes for a missed call. It is clearly a issue with the app but they won’t recognize or try to fix the issue

Worse than regular RingCentral, no actual unified communications functions. False marketing and functionality claims.
Poor design
Another product not designed for easy use. Controls are all over the place and follow no logic. Complex system but not viable for use due to design. Help is buried under bad bots and layers of phone numbers and phone menus. Good luck with that!
CALLER ID
What in the world is this new update? You cannot see any callers phone number. All you can see is the city. This is a huge detriment. The only way to see their phone number is to try to add them to your iPhone or the contacts. This is ridiculous. I want the old app back.
Terrible Technical Support and constant robo calls !!
Spent hours and hours with tech department and the problems of robo/spam calls are unbelievable and told to upgrade my plan $$ to somehow get call control and now the app doesn’t work!!
Compatibility
The app is almost flawless. I cycled through three other providers and apps prior to Telus and they all had something missing which was making my work much more frustrating. This app has it all and I’m very satisfied!

Issue with loosing clients
I am just asking here every time I received phone I was getting google password log in prompt and we have some client got lost I am asking any one had same issue . Secondly they login link sent on email might be the issue I would like to know more people like this here

This is the worst
I will be cancelling my business account with Telus first thing Monday morning after a really awful year with this app. I get notifications when I’m not supposed to, don’t get notifications when I am, and this weekend I have been absolutely unable to receive any notifications while working a very important client event, despite me changing my availability hours in my account. This service is total garbage.

Best VoIP system in Canada
Can’t beat Business Connect when it comes to features, customization, ease of use, and included tech support. So easy to make changes on the fly. Sound quality is amazing and I can integrate with all the important apps and websites that my business uses.
