Can’t update my profile despite my experience

I’ve been on the app since 2023 and been on 3 jobs. And it took me 2 pay cycles to get on check because of the other app you have to download just to get paid. Customer service doesn’t exist. Do not download this app. You e been warned!!!
The hate
The leads at Sofi & Bmo stadium , singled me out. I’m not allowed to work at any gig. I have no faults or complaints towards my behavior. Just like always. Talent pushed to the side. I even have perfect attendance, still laid off. Only I Los Angeles CA - fuel .
Waste-
Platform is joke- who ever selects lay’s favorite. Explains why this platform is closing… good
Never got work
This app was easy to use but I never got a job and there weren’t many jobs available. But the features of the app were ok. Now they are going out of business. Not sure what happened.
Useless app
I have applied for literally every shift on this app over the past year and have not been selected for a single shift. This is also the case for most people as they only need about 3-4 workers a month from their entire platform. There is no work for 90%+ of users and Tend keeps leading us on with fake posts to create the illusion of more work than there actually is. I’m glad they’re finally going out of business because more than enough of my time has been wasted by using this app.

I do have this app for over 4 years and got only one job. Been in hospitality business for over 25 years, so experience wasn’t the issue. Believe employers is limited

From firsthand observation and conversations, it is evident that leads tend to repeatedly select the same individuals for gigs, thereby limiting opportunities for new applicants. In many cases, only when a regular worker becomes unavailable is a new candidate considered.
Additionally, the app’s system seems prone to manipulation. Leads reportedly have the ability to misreport or adjust workers’ hours, creating inconsistencies and potential ethical concerns. While being selected for a gig can offer a unique and rewarding experience, the overall design of the platform, particularly the degree of control vested in leads, raises questions about fairness and transparency.

So happy this app is finally getting taken off the market now hopefully these businesses will migrate to a better platform :)

What gives? I waited the allotted time and it’s still processing? And why was customer service so dismissive to me?!
Tend app bad communication
I wouldn’t recommend this app! THEY DONT keep their word on paying on time! I worked two shifts and still haven’t been paid!!! someone hasn’t reached out to me to reassure that my payment will be released soon . Just bad communication all together and NOT a company about their word. They DONT care .

Very sketchy
Um it took me forever to get selected for gigs in Albany NY. When I was finally selected, I learned that the Candlelight manager was pre selecting workers to form a reliable group and after that you’d always get selected if you applied and most likely always working with the same ppl. Unfair, but at least I was getting selected for shifts now. After I moved it basically was impossible to get shifts in NYC. Now the app won’t even allow me to apply (made new acct) saying my skill set isn’t in alignment. I’m just confused… it was working so well now I can’t even get gigs anymore

Terrible App
I'm living in Chicago (big city) so there are some jobs being posted enough to make some decent money. Only issue is that they NEVER accept me as a worker. I guess you're in competition with a possible of hundreds of other people but they only need 3-6 ppl (usually). If you never get the experience, you cant add anything to the tend app as worker experience so they think you dont have any and dont choose to hire. Been like this for MONTHS. Haven't been booked once. If I could give it a zero star, I definitely would. Not worth it at all.

Don’t recommend
The worst gig working app I’ve used. Requested a job with a payout of $200+ and was only paid $140
No Pay
They will give you the run around. It has been over 2 weeks and I’m on dispute number 2 with this app. I have seen on Reddit where many others also have never been payed.
Still haven’t received pay for work
I have yet to receive my pay from them. When I reach out they tell me to dispute it but it’s still says pending so I can’t and then it could take up to 8 business days to get my funds. When it’s only suppose to be 2-3 business day it’s been a weekend and more than enough business day about to be a week on tomorrow. Until I get my funds. I will say this app is a 1 star you just don’t do people like this. My son is on spring break and I don’t have the extra money from the extra jobs I picked up to do anything with him worst app I have ever worked for.

They do not select you unless you are a favorite not caring about the certifications you have or the work experience you have
Good idea, but absolutely no shifts
I signed up, did all the interviews, and there are no shifts, nor has the app ever shown a single job in my area. It would be one thing if there were the occasional shift that got picked up, but there’s absolutely nothing! I live in a major city and have the range set to 25 miles. How is this possible?! Do restaurants just not use the app? At this point it’s just taking up space on my phone.
