Includes hardly any of the tour

In the Nasrid Palace for instance, there were only two entries for the entire thing, where as signage indicated far more. Rent the real audio tour or you'll be standing in Nasrid wondering what everything is.

Why make this app?

This app has almost no content. All over the Alhambra there are signs telling you about online content in an audio guide but almost nothing is available in this app. Make the additional content available in the app and charge for it if you must.

Little information, very repetitive

The app is marginally helpful, it has both a map and an audio guide, but neither are great. There are already plenty of maps on the grounds that are more detailed and have a ‘you are here’ pin. The ‘full’ audio guide is the same as what you could rent from the ticket booth (just cheaper), but I wouldn’t recommend either. The information in the guide is very minimal and repetitive. Each ‘stop’ is no more than two minutes long, and gives some dates and names. The Moors built this structure, then the Christians destroyed part of it, then in the 1900s they changed something, repeat. There is very little information about who these people were, how they lived, what they did, how a day in their life compares to ours or someone from a different era, how this information was discovered, what new things experts are learning today, etc. It was frustrating to hear the driest textbook information shared, when such a rich picture could have been painted to match the beautiful place we’re in.

Two stars for the free app, I’d give one for the paid guide.

Purchases don’t work

The free content on the app is promising, but the “Buy” button simply does not work :(

Great bargain with a couple flaws

This app is an excellent option for someone who doesn’t want to spend €6 on the audio guides they rent onsite. I got the “short” general tour for $1 but I’d recommend getting the longer version for $2, as the short tour excludes a few of the sites. I regretted not buying a guide as soon as I stepped inside the Nasrid Palace, so I was extremely happy that I could download an app while inside for the same experience.

The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was because it doesn’t continue playback when the app goes into the background. This is especially disruptive when you want to switch over to the camera and snap some pictures (or lock your phone to put it in your pocket), only for the audio commentary to stop. In addition, the developer(s) should implement support for portrait mode rather than just landscape mode.

Saved 4 Euros

Just download this app instead of paying to use the exact same app on a rented device. Saved 4 euros each and just used our own headphones instead of ones that have been over hundreds of strangers ears. Didn’t have to wait in a super long line. Didn’t have to worry about returning a device when we were leaving. Worked great.

Response from developer

Thank you very much for your comment, ogfnasnnn. It’s true.Renting audio guides is a good option for those who prefer to receive personalised attention and all content preloaded. For those who don’t, the app is a good alternative at a good price.Regards!

Don't buy it. Not able to play!!!

Completely waste of data and time
