Logs Out Too Much
The app is always logging me out which is very annoying. Every time I go to look at the paper, I have to log back in. No one looks at my phone but me, why does it need to log off that much? It’s a newspaper not my bank account.

The app does what it’s supposed to do, but it can be slow at times and cumbersome. It has improved over the years, though. The current version doesn’t lock up my iPad like the older versions did. Trying to send a story from the app is a joke. It never seems to work.
The best feature is that it shows the paper as the paper looks, and not like a website.

Best Newsreader for Small Screen
Love all of the different options for reading the newspaper. Wish other newspapers would use the same app.

Great way to read the paper
The app that The Astorian uses for digital display is a really great way to read the paper. I enjoy the fact that it emulates the paper edition of The Astorian and when you tap on a section, provides a more readable view.
Very Glitchty App
One day it works and the next day it requires me to register for an account but says I can’t register for an account because I don’t have an account number. What?!? Too frustrating.

Subscription problem(s)
Someone needs to fix multiple problems with on line subscription. Tried for an hour to get online subscription with continued redirects, the most difficult problem was system continually changing my debit card number. Terrible mess

Trouble getting permission, missing my paper :(
Began a new account....I paid with my credit card today, they gave me short password. When I try to get in, it's my old account which lapsed (partly as I had trouble getting permission before) so I can't get in to add a new password. I'd rather do my business on line as I'm hard of hearing, and it seemed like it was easier this time but still can't get into the app. I don't have "permission" even after looking all over trying to follow the instructions.

Don't waste your time.
This is definitely the saddest news app that I've seen. Having a virtual copy of the paper that you have to constantly zoom in and out of and to pan around makes absolutely no sense. Perhaps if I had a 30" iPad...

Great Way to Read the Paper
I downloaded this for my iPad and just read my first paper with it. It will now be the way I read my paper every day. It's easier to use than the on-line e-edition, being more natural and intuitive. If you can't read your paper in one sitting, it keeps your place. It's very comfortable and readable, and I highly recommend it.
