Broke their own app
Love the show; hate the app. It used to work beautifully (was 5 stars), but the last few updates have made it where it will no longer cast. I don’t know what they changed, but we can no longer use the app because of whatever it is they changed. Reached out to customer support about it and they said they were working on it. That was about 5 months ago now, and there was a brief time in there it started working again, but now nothing. I just want to watch your show! (Side note: all of the negative reviews that talk about the content of the show clearly missed the message from the episode(s) that they are complaining about. Like the one talking about Jesus being fallible because he asked Matthew for advice. Jesus is not fallible with his sermon on the mount. He was teaching Matthew a lesson in a 1-on-1 setting. The other complaints about the show can be explained in a similar way.)

As for the series, initially, last year, I was pretty hard on it expecting it to just reflect what was in the New Testament. A friend of mine helped me rethink my prejudice and I gave it another shot putting aside my judgments. I absolutely am so glad I did because it has become a Light in my darkness. I am so very happy to help monthly as I am able to right now. It's not much, but know every bit helps.

This can really help me learn a lot that was hard for me to even remember. It breaks down parts of the bible that I could’ve found confusing and it makes me learn so much more it helps me grow and that fact that it also has the bible verses on the bottom made me really happy, it’s a perfect way of understanding the bible and reading it. Best Show, Highly Recommend
I was hesitant at first as many reenactments are altered to meet modern day time standards. With that comes changing what is in scripture. BUT this show is Amazing, it truly brings scripture to life in the best visual view needed in our day and age. My daughter recently started asking questions and the one that she had was where does she start in the Bible to read? She didn’t understand what was being read but this show allows her and everyone to read and connect the dots so vividly. Great job Dallas! God is doing something amazing with this dream He has put into you and so many others.

Casting issues
App navigation is terrible, would be nice if it would put the next episode and easy access to the current series at the home
Language needs to be selected everytime, which on top of the casting issues is another pain

Account Required
The show itself is fantastic, but this is not a review of the show. It’s an app review. The streaming quality in the app is often choppy when other video services stream just fine. It is difficult to select seasons in the Apple TV app, but navigation on the phone and iPad work well. But my biggest complaint is that sometimes the latest episodes are locked and other times they are not. The app description says “watch all seasons… no account required,” yet when I ask support why the latest episodes are (sometimes) locked they tell me that an account is required to watch them.

Something wrong with app
Every time I go to click on it and have the English SD subtitles it saids client error code 443 forbidden and I have watched a few episodes before without no problems
Amazing show
I think it’s very important that The Chosen is free to watch and accessible to people. It’s the christian thing to do. However the streaming quality is very poor at times. I’ve tried different wifi and hot spots, but I can’t watch more than 10 minutes without it buffering.

Chosen App issues
I absolutely love the Chosen series, however the app is very frustrating.
The shows don’t pick up where you stopped at, a lot of times you have to start the episode over. Also there are times where you open the app and a episode will start then it the sound starts over where your hearing it repeating what was just said and it won’t let you shut down the app I have to delete it and start all over. Can you please fix this I watch this series every night.

Season 5
I have been watching season 5 every time now it is locked on me evey episode. Yet I can get it on my Iphone.
Notifications?
The app frequently shows a notification bubble but when I open the app there is no place to find out what the notification actually is.
The best show
This show is absolutely amazing. I’m on season 4 ep 4 and I am understand the time line of Jesus much better. The only thing that’s bothering me is the lag and every time it kicks me out the app, other then that thank you for the show my brothers!
Update
I have been watching The Chosen since it began with the Angel app a few years ago. Now, there is a new update that requires 17.0 or better. I do not have it nor can I afford another phone. I really want to continue watching/rewatching all the episodes and the final season but am afraid I won’t be able to do so. Please let me know how to remedy this situation.

Issue after recent update
After the update 4 days ago, putting video in landscape mode or rotating your iPad while watching causes audio and image to de-sync. It will also get locked in portrait and not rotate again. Closing out of the video causes the audio to continue going unless the app is closed and restarted. This also happened with going to the next episode.
After patching these issues, this is definitely a 5 star app and I’m very grateful and blessed to be able to view this for no cost.
